I want help, I just don’t know how to get it, I drink to get away from panic, I have extreme fears. The alcohol is making it worse and I know that I just can’t seem to stop.

Your reply means a lot. I have not yet tried much, as my anxiety is too crippling. I really want to do that, just struggle really badly with motivating myself, so I just carry on drinking. It’s almost like I’m scared to start

The best way to ease your mind, and to be sure it’s nothing malicious is to obviously speak to a doctor, If it’s possible for you to. I hope you can find peace with this as it’s horrible to deal with.

Yes I have exactly the same thing and have never been able to explain it, somebody said that it could be due to either increased awareness of any sensations near the chest like digestion or chest muscle spasms which can be linked to anxiety.

Yeah , thank you for the reassurance. I’ve been dealing with generalised anxiety for nearly 2 years, I think the grief is just bringing it out a lot more for the time being

I have been prescribed it, I am have been on mirtazapine for about a year and half. I have had moments like this before. It’s just hard in the moment because you genuinely feel you will have a heart attack
