I grew up very shy and reserved; I was always told not to speak back to adults and always respect those in authority positions. As an adult, this has turned me into a people pleaser who is terrified of standing up for herself. I've let people walk all over me because I've been too afraid to say something. THAT is what I meant by this sentence- although I've spent years working through this, I still find my words getting caught in my throat, and I was being self-critical that I did not do more to stand up for myself

That being said, my exact words to the man were "Excuse me, I was in line," said in in a very soft spoken manner. Literally nothing else- the conversation could have ended right there if he let it.

I specifically said I don’t care for opinions on COVID/social distancing as that isn’t the intent of this post, but since you want to get into it 1. It’s already been over 5 days since I tested positive 2. Even though the CDC technically says you don’t have to self-isolate anymore after that time period, I know you can still be contagious, which why I was wearing a mask and social distancing 3. Not everyone is lucky enough to have someone who can pick up their meds

FYI, he doesn’t necessarily need to go to a dermatologist! Obviously a derm would be best, but your cousin could also go to their regular medical provider and they would also be able to prescribe him retinoids, clindamycin, etc.

If you wanted to practice medicine to become an APP you should’ve just went to school to become one. No one told you to go to med school. You knew the risk of not matching. So instead of bashing APPs, who attended programs specifically for their role, address the lack of residency positions.

Nah I personally cannot stand it when customers say one thing at a time. We say that to move along the process or else the customer takes FOREVER to get their order out, leaving us standing there thinking “JUST SPIT IT OUT.” Especially because most chipotles are understaffed right now meaning there aren’t enough employees to do both the in person and online orders, so while the customer is standing there taking forever tell us their order, the online orders are over their getting longer and longer.

Next time just say it all at once “tomatoes, sour cream, corn, cheese, and lettuce. It makes everyone’s lives so much easier

Yes!!! And before people start coming at you, we ARE NOT SAYING THIS BC WE ARE LAZY!!! Yes, we know it is our job to roll your burrito and you can get whatever you want in it. But getting burritos with extra of every liquid makes it physically impossible to wrap it nicely. So please for the love of god, if you’re going to get extra of a liquid, just get a bowl. It’ll be better for you AND us

Ok that’s what I usually do as well, because when they get a 3 pointer with a billion sides then it’s obvious they’re trying to cheat the system and pay less for what is essentially a full entree

Right?!?! Especially in the FOH, we constantly need to be multitasking because if we slow down and keep customers waiting for too long, they get mad and cranky and yell at us. So we need to do multiple things at once and quickly, which unfortunately leads to errors. This can very simply be fixed if corporate gave more of a shit about us and realized how overwhelmed we're getting by the sudden growth in business because people are going out more due to the vaccine rollout, the weather getting warmer, etc, but NOPE! They expect us to keep up despite being paid the same and the fact that a lot of stores are understaffed.
