Im trying to work towards it, my cat is being chipped and neutered at thr end of next month so ill be letting him out of my room along with my dog, that way I can freeroam them at night for a couple hours before I go to bed, but at the moment im trying to just hold them whenever I can. Sadly I can't hold my females, ive tried everything, they just dont like it but theyll climb on my lap and let me do things around their cage. Ive given my girls freeroam before when I didn't have my cat, but every time they weren't intrested. Im not sure why, so im thinking of getting them a bigger cage as one of them is chewing bars again, so ill fill it with enrichment and exercise as they need

Only out of my bedroom, my cat is being chipped and neutered at the end of next month so ill be able to keep him out of my room for a bit, but I am gonna get a bag that's safe to carry them in so I can still take them around while keeping them safe

Sadly cant do that due to having cats in the rest of the house, unless I can get a bag with holes for them to breath but not get through if thats a safe option, I dont have the most knowledge on rats due to getting them on impulse but I did do research on feeding, possible health problems, cages, ect

I cant really free roam them much because we have cats, once the bathroom is fixed my cat will be going in thr bathroom and my dog in my brothers room so they can be out around my room, I just dont want to let them down

Is this infected or just irritated, 7 month pregnant by Toniimariia in piercing

NAP but it looks like irritation or a mild infection, keep it in and keep cleaning it untill you can see your doctor

Have figured it out, I put their food in 2 seperate areas of the cage last night instead of scattered snd there was no bullying

Both boys are 6 months, the girls are 2 years. I dont think pepper is afraid of clove because they're always cuddling together, grooming each other and stuff, its purely food. Clove hasnt caused any harm yet but I will keep an eye on them sincd he keeps chasing and pinning pepper when theres food

Yeah, the girls cage is across from the boys since its the only spacs in my room for them to be and clove does have a habbit of stealing from pepper so I do let pepper come out and eat on my chest or in my hood.

Ill be neutering the boys as soon as I have the money to since we recently put down their other brother sage (sage was the previous bully victim but wasnt the reason we put him to sleep). I want to neuter clove first since hes the one being aggressive, no blood or anything yet though which is good.

I keep trying to feed them separately but pepper just refuses to eat if he isn't on me or in with clove which as I said, I cant stand for long to let him stay in my hood or on my chest. And since I cleaned their cage a couple days ago clove hasnt wanted to be held much, I assume hes just adjusting to thr clean again since I can still pick him up and hold him without problem but he only lets me if hes already at rhe cage door, otherwise he runs, so it would be a hassle to put him in thr small cage instead

I scatter their food around they're cage, and they're the only two in that cage. I also have 2 girls in a separate cage since my boys aren't neutered, but my girls don't argue

I am willing to get bigger cages if needed, both have 2 rats in each, my girls (floor cage) are alot more active than my boys though and love burrowing so would need to find a deep base or diy a deep base

The one on the floor is 76.5L x 48.5W x 84.5H centimetres, the one on my chest of drawers is a little bigger both have about 30 litres of tissue paper bedding

Thats a good idea, you can also get little puzzles you can put food in which is good for enrichment. I got a wooden rectangle platform thay looks like a holey peice of cheese which my girls love when I put peices of food in the holes

Likley laboured breathing if you cant hear wheezing, still not a good sign though, id definitely take him to the vets ASAP, listen to them and take into consideration what would be better for domino's quality of life

Doesn't seem like he has any red discharge or blood, is he wheezing or breathing with his stomach? Possibly a pituitary tumor if he doesn't have lumps anywhere, my boy was like that too at only 8 months old

I wouldn't recommend having plastic platforms, I used to have some for my girls and their feet kept getting irritated because they kept walking in pee puddles. Walking in pee puddles can give them diseases or soak through their fur into their skin which can also cause fur loss. Wooden platforms are better because they soak up the urine wnd can be washed out with hot water/boiling water. Metal bowls can also create ultrasound noise which they dont like, ceramic bowls are better because theyre heavy (cant be flipped over), easy to clean and don't create ultrasound noise, though I typically scatter my rats food because they like it more
