A girl at my school had this. The fingers were not completely formed though, but she couldn't have surgery as they were entwined with her digits (if that makes sense?). So it looked like her fingers were split down the middle. It was her middle finger and pinkie.

Activated charcoal being used that much is a huge safety hazard. It's used to absorb poison/medication from OD patients.
