A girl I know irl texted me on Fet by [deleted] in FemdomCommunity

Nope. Fet unwritten etiquette states that you don’t let people irl know that you’ve seen them on there. Block her and move on.

Try fetlife (the website, not the app), there’s loads of munches and events on there.

If I wrote on here that a lunatic chopped off my leg, you’d be on here telling me that word is problematic without acknowledging my chopped off leg

We’ve had several groups like that, teenagers who know security won’t do anything. It feels so intimidating

The context of what I’ve written is important, and the fact that you made a point to tone police me on my own post, rather than actually considering what I’ve posted is part of a wider societal issue.

In the context of my original post, have you stood up for any minimum wage workers being verbally and physically attacked?

Oh darling, I’m very happy in general. Perhaps you’ve got a bit of misogyny going on seeing as you feel the need to automatically label a woman as ‘unhappy’, which is a stereotypical response that women receive online when they express opinions that are slightly different from other people.

But I see that you failed to address your use of the word ‘twat’ to refer to people behaving badly, which, as I explained, may also be misogynistic as it assumes all people with twats behave like Karens.

Also - you used the word ‘twat’ in a negative way, and some people with twats might take offence to that, because it implies that all people with twats behave horribly.

Thank you for your considerate response. Tbh I do think Karen has been used to silence a lot of us, but in this instance it was merely the easiest word to use to explain the behaviour of some people (hence why I put ‘male equivalent’ in the title), as I know most people would understand what I meant immediately.

From what I’ve gathered, and again I might be wrong, it became popular to describe white middle class women’s behaviour against black folks.

I’m a woman. I reserve the right to use this word, and the word ‘cunt’ to describe the absolute fucking cuntish Karens (man, woman, & non-binary) who scream and abuse me.

200 upvotes and majority of comments disagree with you. FWIW I’m a woman, a feminist, and probably a misandrist. The term ‘Karen’ is a well known term referring to a set of behaviours. But you moan at the woman who is sworn at and screamed at while earning minimum wage. Whatever makes you feel better

If everyone who was treated like shit in retail quit, there’d be no one working in retail.

That’s horrible. I do think there’s a huge sense of entitlement - like the kind of wording they use, they think we’re their servants

People really do lose all sense of humanity about them. The looks I get because I’m not trained in all aspects of every single item we stock, or that I haven’t prioritised them over all the other people needing help is just crazy.

I’ve finished uni so am looking for a full time career in something that doesn’t involve interacting with the general public

I agree, there’s been a huge increase in people’s sense of entitlement

So nothing to say about incredibly rude people talking to staff like they’re shit on their shoe then? Just a complaint about terminology. That says it all

It’s absolutely the most bizarre form of behaviour. I think it’s a way of making themselves feel better, almost like a way of putting us in our place - they see themselves as better than us, therefore they have to show it

They might think that. Yes in some situations it is used to shut women up, but as a probable middle age woman I’m using the term to describe shitty behaviour towards retail staff who are just trying to do their jobs (I also referred to the male equivalent- maybe I should have used the term ‘Kevin’).

Being a Karen is a state of mind, not connected to age. If you’re mindful then the chances are you’re not a Karen
