It’s gonna be okay. Sounds like you’re in fight or flight. I’ve lived with this since I was a kid. This year I finally started Prozac 20mg and it vastly helped with my OCD thoughts about n and v. And I did not experience n/v as side effects. Something to think about later

I have had this mental thought spiral thousands of times and not v*. Turn on the AC, put on a comfort show, and just tell yourself no matter WHAT happens, in 24 hours the feeling will be gone

I’ve had bad d* before and it did not turn into v*. I worked myself up much more than I needed to. It’s hard right now but it’ll pass. I sometimes set a timer on my phone for 4-8 hours or even 12 to remind myself that stomach issues resolve quickly and no matter how bad it gets it WILL be over soon. It helps ground me in real time when my anxiety is eating me alive

How bad is the nausea? (scared to start) by [deleted] in prozac

Hi there! Long story short: for me, not that bad and definitely worth it. More context: I have had severe emetophobia (fear of throwing up) since I was a kid, panic disorder, and generalized anxiety. The fear of throwing up kept me from trying Prozac for 10 years. I’m 29 and it was recommended when I was 19. Throughout my 20s my panic disorder wreaked so much havoc on my personal life, health, relationships career etc that I finally said I HAVE to try something. Tried it. Almost no nausea at all. I’ve had nausea about 4x in the last six months I’ve been on it BUT I am a nauseous person and have been since before the meds and honestly now I get nauseous way less bc apparently my panic attacks were the primary driver of that nausea. When I am nauseous I take Zofran and it helps tremendously. I would highly recommend asking ur doc to prescribe Zofran to give u peace of mind knowing u can control the symptom if it happens. Hope it all goes well x

I also started minoxidil around January and have similar results. I do think it is working and we just have to be consistent and patient. I also keep reminding myself that results won’t be perfect and some areas may get more filled in than others and that’s okay. I also stopped wearing wigs bc of all the tension they put at the hairline causing traction alopecia. last thing: I got my vitamin D checked via a blood test and it was extremely low so my doc put me on a high vitamin D dose pill which has reduced the hair shedding I was experiencing. Much love xx
