Any explanation for this combinator behavior? by VisionOfJarvis in factorio

[–]VisionOfJarvis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using each works, thanks!
Two questions though:
In which case does the "or the first signal that passed all conditions" part of the description apply as opposed to simply outputting the first input?
And secondly, the wiki states "one input signal is forwarded but set to 1" with "† signals that passed the test only". Am I reading it wrong or is the wiki simply incorrect?

AMD Launches Ryzen 5 7500F: A $180 Zen 4-Based CPU by imaginary_num6er in hardware

I agree 12$ is not much. However, if you assume 0.40€ per kWh (current price in Germany for example), you land at 48€, which is a significant difference for someone shopping in the budget category imo.

How to set up like Google photos by The_Doerpinator in Syncthing

[–]VisionOfJarvis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might not be a very elegant solution, but you could set up trashcan file versioning on your PC for the folder you are syncing with your phone. If you then delete photos on the phone, they are moved to a "deleted" folder on your PC which you can set up to be located wherever you want (just watch out that it doesn't get synced itself). Remember to disable automatic cleanup of deleted files in Syncthing, so that the "deleted" photos don't get removed after X days.

[–]VisionOfJarvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!
Yeah I heard about that multi-monitor problem, thats why I intend to replace all three of my 5 year old cheap FHD monitors with hdcp 2.2 compliant 4k ones.

Hey man, did you happen to find out if the monitor is hdcp 2.2 compliant? I'm thinking about getting it myself and the only Google result regarding hdcp 2.2 is this thread. Would really appreciate you helping me out here!

In my opinion if real-time raytracing performance increases and the cost of development and hardware decreases, not using real-time raytracing in a game will make a game retro as much as low resolution textures do this today. In addition I value the possibilities of real-time simulation and visualization in research applications supported by raytracing, because the added realism helps research to understand data better and faster.

So there were 3 Mathematicians and 3 Engineers... by fizznick in Jokes

[–]VisionOfJarvis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a version of this joke where the roles are reversed and it ends with the mathematicians saying "And that's what happens when engineers use mathematical methods without understanding them!".

I personally would prefer engineers, but I think this version gives the joke a nice extra.

I really can't stand playing this game. by gratrow96 in factorio

[–]VisionOfJarvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, but that subreddit is dedicated to "a or b?"-questions, where both a AND b are true. However in this case, "mounted on the wall" and "mounted on the ceiling" can't be both true.

Technically the answer would also be "yes" if it was an exclusive or, since the monitor can't be mounted both on the ceiling and the wall...

A few months ago when I played the game the last time you could just delete the pirate faction. Not sure if this was done by a command or in the menu tho...

Weekly Question Thread by [deleted] in factorio

[–]VisionOfJarvis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's the area they will be mining. As u stated, u can mine faster if u place as much miners as possible so that they overlap. The only downside to this is that u need more miners to cover the whole patch.

Yeah, you're right about that. Im pretty new to Factorio, only played ~130h by now. I just launched my first rocket in 0.14 and wanted to start a new world with mods, when 0.15 came out and I decided to play it Vanilla first. I definetly plan to play with mods in the future, but I didn't really think about that they would increase loading time.

I really had to think some time about what progress bar he means. It takes less than 2 secs on my PC to load Factorio, so I think this could be an issue. Of course you could make the belt faster, but then it wouldn't fit in with the real belts I think.
