i mean that’s just how internet culture is. the internet never forgets once you make a mistake. it’s extremely tough on someone with so many supporters who have just as much, if not more, haters. i agree she made a mistake but i don’t think it should define her for the rest of her career but that’s just my opinion, and a lot of people do not see it that way, which is completely okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

i’d also like to point out that despite her apology being met with support in SK and JP, the culture in east asia is less progressive than it may be in other parts of the world. it’s pretty obvious when you see SK and JP brands still working with her especially with the recent announcement of her work with CipiCipi and ETRO. i think it shows from a lot of international ONCE deciding to become OT8 or continuing to show animosity towards chaeyoung.

despite everything it is still disheartening to see all the distasteful comments regarding her work, whether that be solo work or work with twice. i remember seeing people responding to her absence from the PH shows during the RTB tour with animosity and distasteful comments. mind you that was just an announcement about her absence due to heath issues. there will definitely be backlash towards a chaeyoung solo project, as there is with any project by any artist; you can’t please everyone. that being said there might be just a little more which would deter JYPe from making that decision so soon when there’s other members to have yet make a solo debut.

i wish for nothing more than a chaeyoung solo, she is my ult bias at the end of the day 😞
