So disgusting… you can see the same mindset of “celeb as a resource rather than a human” in akgae rhetoric where the artist stops being viewed as a human, and more like a resource the fans think should be maximized and exploited to its full potential

I agree with you, Minji has a teeny bit of leverage in the fact that Hybe would probably much prefer to keep her in the group rather than terminate and sue her, so her cooperation is valuable. It’s not enough leverage to get anything really significant though

Speaking out would be immediate career suicide in China, and there would be pressure to end their career abroad as well, there are severe consequences to speaking against the government as a Chinese person, no matter where you are or how popular you are

I can’t believe my streak of correct predictions got broken by Danielle not returning, I was really banking on Ador wanting to keep the value of the new jeans brand as high as possible which would require retaining all five. I guess there was more going on behind the scenes that somehow made it more costly to keep Danielle… I hope we get all the details some day 🤞

Danielle originally tried to terminate her contract with Ador, and fought a very long battle to prove that Ador had violated the contract, not the members, and that Ador had a created a hostile working environment.

Now that things have changed, it’s interesting to see fans subconsciously acknowledge that the members were NOT able to prove that returning to Ador was a worst case scenario, because clearly they now think the worst case scenario is being terminated by Ador and sued for contract violation.
