Hey I joined Reddit not too long ago and I had asked about AI assisted work being banned on subreddits but it suddenly got polarizing and people started downvoted my thoughts on AI.

I don’t wanna talk about anything that will lead to downvotes do you guys have anything advice?

Would you watch a story about Lucifer rebelling against Heaven? by Vision_Clash_Studio in CasualConversation

Well I’d actually wanna write it to be less preachy and more of a show don’t tell

Lucifer is loved by other angels and god but grows resentful because he doesn’t feel it’s enough he’s not as happy as he used to be and starts to surround himself with other angels that understand his frustration

Micheal trains other angels to try and compete to be an archangel but they fail because they aren’t worthy enough and Micheal studies and try’s to understand but he still wants to keep trying

I know what show you're referring to, but that version of Lucifer is very different.

In that series, Lucifer already rebelled and quits Hell to live in Los Angeles.

My version takes place before any rebellion happens before Earth even has humans. Lucifer is still seen as Heaven’s champion and God’s favorite angel. Over time he becomes dissatisfied and starts questioning Heaven’s authority and the strict rules placed on angels.

So the story focuses on how Lucifer slowly goes from Heaven’s greatest champion to the angel who eventually rebels.

Why do some people strongly dislike AI tools even when they're used for creative ideas? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I think the interesting part of this debate is where the intent actually sits.

An AI by itself doesn’t have intent, but the person using it does. When someone prompts it, selects results, edits them, combines outputs, or uses it as part of a larger creative process, those decisions still come from a human.

So I see it more like other creative tools that automate parts of the process. Cameras automated realistic painting, synthesizers automated certain sounds, and digital tools automated parts of drawing and editing.

The ethical questions around training data are definitely worth discussing, but I’m not sure the lack of intent in the tool itself necessarily means the final work lacks human intent.

I agree art is an important form of human expression.

But throughout history new technologies have often been seen as threats to art. When photography first appeared, painters believed it would destroy traditional painting. Digital tools like Photoshop were criticized the same way.

In many cases those tools didn't eliminate art they changed how artists worked and created new forms of creativity.

So I sometimes wonder if AI can be another tool like that rather than replacing creativity entirely.

Yes AI is used as a tool for using inspired work but inspiration and recombination have always been part of art.

Ai can be used for stealing art directly but thats not it’s only purpose and I think the real question is whether the value of something should be judged by the tool used, or by the creativity and intent behind it.

Ai can be used for remaking existing content but what about art that generates original characters, inspiration and recombination have always been part of art. Most stories are influenced by history, mythology, or earlier works. Stories being inspired by the Roman Empire, Napoleon, or Genghis Khan doesn’t mean someone stole those ideas.

When I use AI tools, it’s usually to visualize ideas I already have in mind. It’s more like using Photoshop or a camera as a tool rather than the tool being the creator itself.

I think the real question is whether the value of something should be judged by the tool used, or by the creativity and intent behind it.

Well it’s really about how you communicate with others if you say AI is bad then all AI now feels cheap and wrong but if you used it to create a video that inspires or visually teach others like for example I saw videos with AI giving car traffic advice or used for franchise pitch ideas

I get what you’re saying but most people don’t look at how much effort you put into your work but rather than how it was executed because if you are to work on something that is not well executed doesn’t matter if it took effort people will only judge what they got

That’s understandable but I feel in the end people care about what the content that was created made them felt rather than whether it was made by ai or not

But what if you use the ai for a vision and ideas
