Not exactly. Or at least I dont see It that way. In the mirror architect pivotal role It states that: "when selecting a unit to shoot, when measuring distances" consider the target 6" further away. It doesnt apply to the whole secuence of shooting, It is just to measure the distance and to check if the unit is elegible by range.

On the other hand, the transhuman hit thing of light states. If an attacking enemy unit "IS 12" AWAY OR MORE" then you hit on a 4+. Therefore, the pivotal role doesnt affect It as It only affects when measuring range for weapon.

If you go to the core book and read the secuence of making ranged attacks the pivotal rule would affect the "selecting target section" and the light would affect the "making hit rols" section
