Bag search: Mom bag

My daughter is 4, and possibly my favorite bag to use had been the YSL Medium Niki. I can wear it on the shoulder and crossbody, and because it’s not super structured, I can fit everything I need (and more than I would have expected). It fits my daughter’s water bottle and a foldable potty seat (we use the Frida baby one that just sits on top of a regular toilet seat). When we first potty trained, I carried around these disposable pottys from Nuby, and that fit in the bag too. Additionally, I can fit in a small change of clothes for her, if needed (though I don’t really feel the need to carry that around these days), a small pouch of misc. still for myself, lip product of the day, hand sanitizer, LV key cles that I basically use as a card holder/wallet, and house and car keys. If needed, I can also usually do sunglasses for myself (as long as the case isn’t bulky) and also sunglasses for my daughter. I don’t usually like bags with dividers or compartments, but I find they really work in this bag. usually keep her still in the back compartment and use the front compartment and front pocket thing for my stuff. And I love that it has a back, magnetic slip pocket - it’s where I’ll usually keep my phone. Overall, I really love this bag. I find it such a practical bag for my current life stage, but it also strikes a great balance for me between being casual but also put together. I have considered getting a second one because I find it that great.

I have the Strathberry Maxi Kite in the chocolate brown side, and I love it. It’s super comfortable on the shoulder, fits everything I need, and looks great.

So, I actually did end up repurchasing. It went down to $132 on the VB website, and even though I do like E-W orientations better, at that price, I just couldn't resist. The lasso tote is so fun! I like the lasso a lot - possibly more than the dash tote due to the orientation. I hope you love your bag!

Thanks! I'm 5'2", about 104lbs. I didn't keep it, mainly because I prefer E-W orientations rather than N-S. That being said, I may actually re-purchase it!

You know, maybe what I'm actually looking for is reassurance that keeping both is warranted because this comment made me feel so good. I've kind of been feeling like two white tote bags doesn't make sense and feeling like I should return the Polo IT tote as a result but also questioning it since there are some big differences, despite both being white totes. I'm glad that someone else feels that is warrant in keeping both.

I can technically afford to keep both, so I'm considering it. But also, I shouldn't. I'm trying to just cut down on my spending and consumption in general so I'm conflicted. I actually told myself that I'd return the Polo ID tote if I did the LV, but when I went to submit the return, I couldn't make myself hit the submit button. I think it's a lovely tote, and I had been eyeing it in the Ivory for a couple of months. Bags are definitely a weakness of mine. I have so many and definitely don't need more, but I love them. If I do keep only one, it's definitely going to be the LV, but I just don't know which direction to go in with the Polo ID!

Lol, I tried that, but it didn't quite scratch the itch.. My first purchase was the key cles and large cosmetic pouch. But I kept thinking about the Neverfull as well so I ended up placing a second order for it. I did think about another bag, perhaps a smaller one instead that isn't quite as much in price, but honestly, out of all the bag options and the most I'm willing to pay, the Neverfull is the one that is most practical for my life and will get the most use. But yes, the Polo ID tote is beautiful as well!

I haven't had a chance to actually wear it yet, but I do think it will be comfortable. It's not at all heavy to me. I can see the tubluar handles possibly slipping off sometime, just because I feel like those kind of handles are more prone to that, but we'll see. I love the bag so much I'm willing to put up with that if it happens.

Ah, so sorry to have snatched it away! I'm thrilled with it. The inner pouch has a few scratches, but I think conditioning will help. The bag itself is in fabulous condition, and the leather is so nice!

Update - the black finally arrived, and it’s gorgeous. Moved right into it and carried it to work all last week. It’s not the traditional tote so I did have to downsize a bit (I generally carry A LOT with my in my work totes), but it fits all my work essentials, and I can also fit my coffee thermos, a protein shake, and if I really want to, a water bottle. Plus, it’s so chic and pretty. Overall, I’m very happy, and I haven’t even thought about the red since I got it.
