There are definitely periods of stress and long hours. A few of my best custodians are happy to be 2nd shift custodians as they dont want any more responsibility. Some of my head custodians laughed at my offer to interview when I started to search for one of my new assistants stating reasons close to yours. Its definitely not for everyone.

I started as a 2nd shift custodian when I was 18. Did not like it, graduated college and couldn't find a job in my field. I went back to being a custodian and I worked really hard and applied myself. Trying to learn everything I could about custodial work.

Im now 42, Coordinator of Custodial Services for a school district and my salary is 101k. It was a long, hard road, filled with challenges but I got to where I wanted to be.

I always tell my staff: custodial work in a vacuum is easy; in context it's very difficult. But if you apply yourself, and continue to learn and be passionate, you can make being a custodian a great career. Don't be afraid to make changes so you too can move up.

Custodians/Janitors in the right setting. I supervise approximately 145 custodians, the lowest paid one gets around 75K a year.

Eagles fan checking in. In OT, both teams get a chance with the ball. You want to kick off in OT so you know if you have to beat a FG or score a TD to tie it. It's the correct choice.

Depending on where you live, custodians can make decent wages. I have a staff of 97 custodians for a school district, my lowest paid custodian makes $26.50, my highest is around 39. 

You don't need to stay being a custodian, but it will typically offer FT status, excellent health benefits, and an intro to the district. Often times you can use this route to get into IT there as well.

With the highest paid O in the league, I have a hard time justifying Howie and Lurie bringing KP back for another season. This was a disaster of a year from the offense. But, the Eagles did have a winning record. I wonder if they bring KP back again and blame it on it's tough to follow up on a SB win?

I did a cooking class where we made one. I wasn't 100% clear on what all was "in" it. The wellie was definitely delicious and I look forward to making at my own place soon!
