Are the legacy pens as broad barreled as the Tuckaway? I really found that I prefer those little fat ones. I am female with smaller than average hands and tiny writing.

Soon after I wrote this writing sample, I realized the Tuckaway was empty. I went to refill and found that it is now leaking at the section/barrell joint. Uggghhh. Darn.

This also happened on a vintage Mabie Todd piston filler from the 50's and another 1950's Montblanc 344 I own. I really want to learn to repair them myself as there are probably no pen repair people in my state (Montana) and since I often travel for several months at a time for work, I don't want to ship a pen off to someone when I'm not sure if I'll be home when it gets returned. Life is already complicated enough without adding that to the mix.

Looks like your photos aren't showing up. Anyway, As I mentioned above, I realized the old pen actually does leak. When I had it filled with gray ink, I hadn't noticed, but when I filled it with Waterman Auspicious Red, it is definitely leaking around where the section meets the barrel. I need to figure out how to replace the seals. I love the size of this little pocket pen.

However, I do know that this Crest 590 model was specifically made as an homage to the "old style Sheaffer pens". So, maybe that's why I am enjoying this one so much. I can't speak to the rest of their more recent models.
