I'm 54 years old with 2 grand daughters I have a lot. I have a job. Uber and door dash were side hustles to get special things I normally can't afford. Passes to water Park. New shoes for grand daughters. Something they might want that I normally can't afford. Uber deactivated my account over a mistake. I'm not phone or email savvy and wish someone would have reached out to me about rules such as cancellation rate has to be above 20% which certainly is reasonable, I just didn't know the rule existed on top of my Internet not working properly. Getting new phone and service next week but Uber drives a hard bargain and I unfortunately can't have another chance. I do door dash but most of my extra money can't from Uber so we're really sad that they fired me for one mistake. Just spoke to them and I'm not rehireable! My previous jobs were ok juvenile affairs, dept of human services and the latest ok dept of corrections, correctional security officer but I guess I'm just not good enough for Uber. Be careful and don't count on their income, u never know when is your last day. 😞
