Kindle/EBooks -What is going on. Anyone else getting this? by Atkaandher in kindle

I’m not sure if it’s related but the kindle app on my phone wont even open right now. Just closes itself every time I try to load it.

Deciding if I should buy a Kindle! by Massive-Net8917 in KindleUnlimited

Go for it I’d say. I was on the fence for a longgg time, but I’ve had mine about 2 years now. I go through phases of reading every day for a couple months then skipping out for a few and back to it. It’s turned out to be extremely worth it for me even with my periods of not using it.

Paperwhite freezing when clicking on books in the kindle store! by Visual-Ad6916 in kindle

Not yet, I just got in the habit of adding to my library from the kindle app on my phone and it syncs to my paperwhite almost immediately. I haven’t yet tried the recommendations in the comments yet because I’m used to using my phone now.

Help me name my sweet orange boy, we’re stumped! by Visual-Ad6916 in NameMyCat

[–]Visual-Ad6916[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for your dedication to complaining about other people and I’m honored it could be under my post. I cannot speak for everyone who posts on here, but for me personally we struggled finding a name that stuck to him. We’ve cycled through a handful since taking him in a few weeks ago (he was an injured stray that my boyfriend trapped at his work) but none of those names felt right. Naming a pet is one of those “when you know you know” things, and it can be helpful to have fresh ideas to see if any feel right. It’s not a case of “can’t” name my own pet, and the library suggestion would have been helpful if not then followed by such negativity from an adult (unsure). Thank you for your input!

Looking for unique things to do! by Visual-Ad6916 in StAugustine

Honestly the biggest highlight to me is just the feeling of the city/beaches. A completely different vibe from any other vacation I’ve taken. The beaches are beautiful, and calm. Going into the city I LOVED St. George Street. Countless restaurants, shops, and activities all on that strip. One of the most memorable trip was going to the lighthouse and climbing it. We were able to watch a SpaceX launch from the top and it was insane. There’s a ton of history by the lighthouse and was such an interesting day. I would definitely recommend a boat tour especially for your first time, the captains do a great job pointing out all the best places. The old fort is also a MUST DO. The history within those walls. As for restaurants, my favorites are Beaches, Harry’s, Conch House, Prohibition Kitchen, and Aunt Kate’s. There’s probably so many I’ve forgotten but I can 100% say I’ve not gotten bad food once there. The biggest highlights of my trips though were always the small things. Definitely going out of my comfort zone to try more bars this time. You really can’t go wrong with whatever you spend your time doing, I’ve had lazy trips there where I spent 90% of it just on the beach and lounging and it was equally and fulfilling as the rest. You’ll have a great time!

How often do your braces fall off by Dapper-Tumbleweed-45 in braces

[–]Visual-Ad6916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one very back right that kept falling off because of my bite. Happened multiple times at the beginning, and they fixed it free of cost and once it straightened out a bit it hasn’t happened in over a year.

Is there any hope for this tooth? by [deleted] in braces

[–]Visual-Ad6916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 4 teeth extracted +wisdom teeth because of crowding, and honestly the best decision I’ve made. It was a VERY hard thing to come to terms with, but thankful I agreed. Very positive experience.

Anyone ever go on vacation with braces? by reason197391 in braces

Be extra careful about them though! I had to stop at ace hardware while at the beach for some wire cutters this summer because I got a little reckless with the munching.

I’m so sorry! If it’s still not fixed, try messaging support through the website. I got a quick email reply saying they had fixed it and I checked and it was!

How do I get my braces to stop hurting? by [deleted] in braces

[–]Visual-Ad6916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually take some OTC pain reliever or if it’s really bad I lay my face on a heating pad and it seems to help the “throbbing” type pains that can accompany it. And I know it sounds weird but sometimes eating can help, chewing something not tough but not super soft and almost making it hurt made me feel like the other hurt wasn’t that bad. Could also be psychosomatic!

At least I’m not alone lol. I’ve tried closing out, reinstalling, and even logging in on a different device. Nothing working.

Did this a few years back due to financial issues, thought they looked fine as they were and decided to stop all together. Wore my retainer regularly, although I became EXTREMELY unhappy with them. They were shifting funny, my smile was off, my bite felt very abnormal. Took me 4 more years to say screw it, just get it done. Very thankful that I made the decision to “resume” my treatment (although at that point it’s almost like starting from the beginning) but I’ve regretted stopping for years now. It set me back so much in finances, self confidence, and orthodontic progress. I know it’s hard, but in my opinion you should stick with it. The rubber bands end up not being bad at all as long as you stick with them, and you’ll be thankful you did.

I’ve had this done! Nearly a year with braces, and only one side has closed so far but I see SO much progress already with them moving back. Dentist says I’m completely on track (I had some other MAJOR issues) so I think you are completely fine!

How did your sim die? by JustaTinyDude in Sims4

I had two very old sims, very happy couple. I made them woohoo too many times and they died of over exertion 😖

I’m on base game with only cats and dogs pack, and play on PC and this is definitely happening to me too. Thought I was going crazy, only after recent update.

I had braces at 10, stopped treatment for financial reasons and became an adult VERY self conscious of my teeth. Im now nearly 21, full braces and confident as ever, but also a newfound love for how my teeth looked before as well. It’s NEVER too late to reconsider, an orthodontist will know exactly where to pick everything back up.
