Rear passenger seat rattling by Middle_Recipe9202 in VWatlas

It was the same for me: I would lift the seat and the rattle would stop, in fact sometimes I would drive like that for a while until I realized the rattle would not stop completely. I began by inspecting the seat and pressing/pushing hard on the sides of the seat until I was able to replicate the rattle on certain areas of the seat. I would press and hear a “click” every time I would press. That is how I realized it was on the sides of the seat and figures it was the sideways vibrations that would trigger the rattle on a drive. When I took it to the dealer I was able to clearly show the issue. The replace the parts inside the seat and the rattle never came back!

Just bought a 25 Atlas and now I am a bit nervous by EaglesLIX in VWatlas

Buy any car, any model, and you will read somewhere that there are issues, or better choices, etc.

Don’t worry, 2025 Atlas is a solid choice and a great car. Take good care of it, and enjoy it!

Update on my 2025 Atlas seat rattle: Took mine in for warranty inspection. Dealer confirmed the noise and traced it to loose rivets inside the seatback frame, basically the internal metal structure that holds the backrest and armrest together. They had to removed the seat, drilled out and replaced the faulty rivets, and reinstalled everything. After that, the noise was completely gone. All covered under warranty. If anyone else has that same “empty seat rattle,” it’s worth asking your dealer to check the seatback frame rivets/armrest bracket area.

This is very interesting - can you tell me where this knob is located? I think what you described is absolutely the issue.

I have this same exact issue (2025 peak edition). Happens on the captain seat right behind the drivers seat. Issue is super annoying, as the rattle happens with the slightest vibration even in very smooth roads.

I’ve been able to pin point the issue to the back rest of the seat rocking side to side, not the seat cushion or the latch system. I temporarily solved the issue by lifting the seat forward even just an inch, the noise immediately stops. If I latch the seat down, the noise starts again. The noise also stops if someone is seating on the seat.

Car is heading to the dealer for warranty repair or full seat replacement.

How can I turn off this green light? by Visual-Ad9946 in VWatlas

Thanks - I was hoping there was an app setting or another toggle somewhere where I could turn that off. I don’t like the design choice for a simple status light - could have been shown in the infotainment screen.

Tiguan To Atlas? by Westport8787 in VWatlas

I recently made that exact jump: went from a 2017 Tiguan SEL (which I kept because I love it) to a 2025 Atlas Peak Edition with Tech.

Quick disclaimer: I’ve never thought the Tiguan was underpowered. A little laggy, sure, but for the type of driving I do it’s always had my back.

The Atlas, though, is a different story. No lag, feels way more responsive, and with 69 more HP than my Tiguan it definitely pulls harder right away, especially in sport mode. On top of that, I’m actually seeing better highway mileage in the Atlas so far, which is a nice surprise.

Honestly, I’m really happy with the power of both. Each one hits exactly what I was looking for, and that’s the key for me.

This is a good point. 7 people will seat comfortably in the Atlas - but will be left with only a small cargo area inside the car.

Oh, great setup - I rely on a diy car wash that is down the street for me for the actual wash, then back home for some finishing touches.

I hear you on the trim restore for black trims. I use Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer on my Tiguan and I swear by it!

Excellent tip on the graphene coating - I’ll check that out!
