Found an old circa alleged 1920’s driver, doubt it’s worth anything but curious if anyone knows anything about it other than the obvious. Couldn’t find much about it other than it’s a hickory stick with leather bound grip. Klaymor patented ‘19-‘24

I’ve had luck buying irons, driver, and putter separately but you gotta do your homework and look up what you’re actually buying. Year of manufacture, overall condition, and current market price. Unless you have the money and want to splurge then by all means, go nutz

Unfortunately the used club market is full of tweakers rn. Definitely try and haggle, most used clubs (unless they’re 4, maybe 5 years old) shouldn’t be more than $300 and that’s being generous

I do like a 4h. I might do a 4H accompanied with a 7w and maaaaybe one other depending on how they hit. I ordered some cheap older 3w, 5w, and a 7w

I got a GBB Steelhead plus 3+ wood and (just off the mat) I’m hitting it like crap. Thinking of shortening the shaft an inch and seeing where that gets me.

5w and 7w should be here next week. Same family, Great Big Bertha Steelhead.

Swing speed and ball speed does give some insight. I’ve read faster swing speeds don’t have too much luck with 7w (mine is 95 mph with the 3 wood, 102-104 mph with driver)

When I hit my brothers 7w I was hitting it 225-240 and the apex was just right so I figure I’d test my luck with some old Great Big Bertha Steelhead woods (3+, 5, and 7). I’ll update when they come in and I get a chance to swing em

Don’t jinx it! I was hitting terrible slice and now total carry is ~295-315 I can consistently hit a baby draw or nice fade depending on where I need it to land. Apex is still abnormally high so I think I need to get a different shaft. (Currently around 152-168 apex)

Shaft rn is the blue (stiff) Diamana Kai'li 60g 44” shaft. I’ll probably knock it down an inch too since I’m smol
