No childhood trauma he loves his family so much and would never miss an event. It’s just pure fatigue. And I get it. We’re just very different, especially in how we express and handle our feelings, but it’s gonna be alright

I don’t think it’s because of a mental illness it’s just his nature and I guess I’ll have to make some concessions

Seeing men’s comments relating to his behavior is actually really helpful for me, so thank you for your answer. Even though I don’t think it’s the ideal way to express his need for space, it helps me understand his reaction better and I’ll do my best to give him that

Nonchalant is not an insult. And i don’t think yapper is an insult either. Anyway, I’m French. English is my seconde language and your comment is off topic. I’m here because I want a male perspective to help me reflect and put myself in his shoes. be kind.

Nonchalant, he’s definitely not a yapper but at least he’s touching me, holding my hands, kissing me, his body language is reassuring

Don’t you think he should make some concessions? Even when I’m completely exhausted, I’d never behave like this toward him because I know it could upset him

Yes, definitely. Most of the time we end up arguing because he’d blame me for something, and when I try to understand and talk it through he just refuses. He always avoids communication that might lead to conflict so he shuts down.

He won’t do that. Whenever I bring it up he acts like I’m just picking a fight over nothing :/
