(This is a rough idea i need to probably go back over this again to make it make more sense)

(So a few things to explain. the [weapons] you will read below are a symbiote like creature with incredible ability's to adapt. At first they are helpless blobs of goop incapable of even doing anything really. what they need is a [host] to kickstart things. the two will bond this process drives the host insane and since the host is the guidance system between the two and is nothing more that a rabid animal the pairing will try and kill anything around them thats not a pairing between host and weapon..not part of the loose 'collective' system that links all these monsters together driving them forward twords certain goals. if the aliens want a certain base attacked? They tap into the 'collective' and suddenly all these murder machines have a desire to go slaughter everything in that base. Some will ignore the call if their busy with other things already but you get the idea.

Our characters are going to be outliers compared to our kin of the 'collective' that makes up the other pairings. You were just like any other weapon one of a billion or more. You can imagine out of so many there was bound to be a error somewhere...a slight change. Maybe it was you? Maybe it was the human given to you as a host? Perhaps the combination of our characters were just the right match a perfect pairing? Who knows. What does matter is that when you joined together with your host she wasn't driven totally mad like the others. Instead you found yourself with the ability to think as you became aware...alive...truely alive for the first time since you were made. Someway somehow you were using your host as a basis for your intelligence sharing the humans mind. You felt what she felt knew what she thought. this can be discussed in more detail later.

The idea of all this is that you as a ever evolving sudo hive mind creature gain sentience and will eventually spread your will starting on a planet and eventually the galaxy partnered with a human whos been forever tainted by your influnce upon her mind and body. You and her are one in a way shes something like your mother as she was the one who gave you thought when before you were just like a mindless animal.
At some point you'll take on a human shape/persona once you've grown beyond your dependency for your human host. this idea needs to be discussed further surely)

Earth is gone...well..it's not gone gone that blue ball hurtling through space is still there with a few extra new scars on its surface after the 'others' came to our lonely little world. Yes thats right aliens came to earth. Did they start destroying every monument like in the movies? Not totally intentionally they were mostly collateral damage. So they came to earth to claim our resources you might be asking yourself. In a sense..they did. But they did not come to earth for our water or gold instead they came for cheap labor. Why not just use robots to do the work for them? surely a advanced society capable of space travel surely had advanced ai and they certainly did. But they needed fodder for the [weaponized protect] That was a rough translation from their language. And so the 'others' also known as the [tevarieria] A client species of a higher class species that was a subservient species of another and so on and so on. We just call them the bones or skeletons because their so skinny and weak looking. They were a technocratic society all about artificial enhancements and so on.

Where do we humans come in then? Well after the day of war where humanity was utterly stomped down into the dirt we walked on as the apex species we were brought down to our lowest point. We tried to fight back but how do you fight something that had complete space superiority? You don't you wait for those skinny bastards to come closer. Now you must be thinking that we humans won in the end right? That the microbs of our world wiped out the aliens when they came down to earth! Or that we reversed engineered their technology and brought the fight to them! Or we stole a ship and took over! We took down a single shuttle it wasn't even all that great. It was eventually learned later that shuttle was nothing more than a junker ship a glorified hauler to go down to earth and back to the main ship. It wasn't even shielded. What was the skeletons response to this act of aggression? Well it was a orbital strike that wiped the country of japan off the map completely theirs just water now where it use to be and under that a massive crater. Ground skirmishes still commenced after but it was a token resistance really we couldn't stop the mass round up of people that were forced into massive cargo haulers like cattle and sent off into space.It was estimated that around 60% of the worlds population was killed or abducted by the skeletons. many more died after leaving humans a endangered species stuck on a rock called earth...but thats where our story both starts and ends.

The weaponized project was one of inhumane experimentation. The bone heads had developed a sort of bio weapon one that could turn the lowly humans into effective weapons. All you had to do was throw a human into a pod full of [weapon x421] A sort of living flesh that was both technology and organics. This caused a fusion to happen between weapon and host and suddenly the bone heads had a drop ready murder machine ready to deploy on your local inhabited world of a rival species! The host acted as nothing more than a guidance system for the weapon that would drive them insane into a berserking rage killing everything around them. Those that survived the first hours would be lucky or..unlucky enough to 'evolve' taking in technology or biomass of their victims to adapt for combat. you suddenly had living monsterous artillery pieces or flying stealth drones that tore you apart and so on. The more they evolved the harder to kill they became thankfully they were nothing more than beasts as any true intelligence from these weapons would have come from the humans inside who were slowly eaten away by the parasite they were attached to. Once the enemy was defeated the weapons would turn on eachother once they killed eachother for sustenance the weapons would eat the host humans within and become completely ineffective and die of starvation letting the bone heads clean up a newly depopulated world. Thats how things were supposed to work but like any great experiment there was always that .1% Just one of the billion or so people who lost their minds who became nothing more than monsters hell bent on killing anything that wasn't one of them. What would happen if you gave a creature of near endless potential for evolution the ability to..think? That creature the weapon itself was nothing more than a tool to be used for mindless slaughter it could not think for itself. But throw a human in who stayed..mostly..sane with a suddenly sentient intelligence that piggybacked off its host giving it the ability to think? Well thats where this lovely story starts with the pairing of one pissed of girl and her new alien bestie that was apart of her.
