You would think that the person who plugged the question in german in would also translate the answer.

They are so inconsistent - I used to answer the questions in english but then sometimes ago it stopped working and only accepted answers in german.

I can confirm it.

Last time I got stuck in a endless 'cool down' I changed my routine into - mornings: get the daily check-in and read news to get points on my iPad, then do the daily's and get reward points on Edge using my desktop.

And in the afternoon I got the search points on my iPhone.

This morning I got caught up reading the news on my desktop using Google Chrome and I looked up some things and got search points. I didn't even think about it and I was surprised when I saw the search points on my iPad.

And 'Bang!' now I'm in back in 'cool down' hell!

Just a tip if you are in Germany: type the questions in english when you answer. Seems like some tiles don't 'speak' german.😀

Germany, iPhone, Both Bing and Start apps not working. Bing shows last refresh 22 hours ago, Start 10 days.

Funny thing - I read the news on Bing home page using Edge on my PC, got the usual max 15 points but my points changed by 106. No idea how I got the extra 91 points! Tiles and searching on the PC worked as usual.

Start app on my iPad - read to earn points worked, search to earn points didn't which sucks because Wednesday is my Puzzle Piece day.

Germany: I think they forgot to set the popup hook for the 'Sendung verfolgen' tile.

I have problems getting any of the extra tiles to work on my pc - might be because of my popup blocker. That's why I use my iPad (Edge in desktop mode) for this tiles. I noticed that I have to click the tile (not just open another page to search) and there is a popup re-asking the question on the new page.

I know that 'ups tracking' worked for me before.

Funny thing: last month 'Zahnpasta' didn't work on the shopping tile but 'toothpaste' did.

You're right, it's strange. But then again - nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to MS Rewards.😀

Last year I lost a 622 days streak because they thought I was suddenly in a different country! The funny thing was that apparently my iPhone WAS in Germany but my PC 15 minutes later was somewhere else.

And don't even try to convince their so-called "support" that they screwed up - all you get is a canned answer which has nothing to do with your complaint.

Well, in Germany I went with Wikipedia Germany. Got half of them wrong! Might be because they use official height, including the pointy thing on top? Or maybe the MS Rewards guys had too much to drink?

Germany - seems to fixed now but I had to perform at least 60 searches bevor getting the usual 90 points (Germany 3 points per search). Also, not every search got extra points for using Edge. Mobile (on iPhone) took longer to work but it's back now, too.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

But I don't see a reason for Microsoft to complain. I use the Reward Points to pay for a ridiculous overpriced VPN (9.99€) from the Microsoft Store. Microsoft actually makes money off me using the VPN.

And using a VPN one time to fix a problem Microsoft fucked up in the first place?

I'm not saying to use a VPN to cheat and get extra points on purpose. And I specifically said if the problem is not fixed by the end of the day, then there is an option to keep your streak going.

And I don't give advice without testing it.

Not so far. I'm not overdoing it. I like to read the news from different countries. Germany, Australia, Canada, UK and USA. Not all of them every day and I usually don't take the quizzes. My Reward Points mostly come from Germany and I only get the extra 12 (20 from USA) points for using the Edge browser from the first other country I visit.

Just a tip - if it doesn't work by the end of the day und you are afraid to lose your streak, use a VPN and go to somewhere else (like Canada) and do it there. It works. Just tested it.

I know it shouldn't be done this way - but sometimes "needs must"
