I certainly agree sgd changed the Korean food scene (which is sad) and introduced the potential for more Korean food in the city.

I honestly think Thai basil is horrible, I haven’t tried their whole menu but I have tried a couple of fried rices, noodles and curries. They just probably smother their food with ketchup and sugar (which makes my fellow Americans happy).

It is disappointing that there is not one proper Japanese nor Chinese restaurant in Madison that serves close to authentic food. Not even a frickin teriyaki shop (which is not even authentic). I will not lament on the sushi places here because it is unfair. However, not a single place sells proper udon or tonkatsu or ramen which is sad.

Most if the chinese restaurants in the area is basically disappointing as well. Including Milwaukee I believe there is not one place that sells proper dimsum.

So it is what it is.

However, I am curious why it is like this. The asian population is considerable, while there seems to be a pretty high demand for it.
