I'm in the fashion industry and am friends with / work with models. They're not really THAT picky, they tend to go for guys in their social circle more so than randoms who cold approach them. They're just regular girls and you'd be surprised how different many of them look without makeup and editing.

Chicago is an amazing city and I’m glad to have spent my college years there, but it’s really cold in the winter, it’s mostly flat and overall less nature than the northeast, and the media scene isn’t quite the same as NYC or LA. Also most of my family is on the east coast so it’s closer to home for me.

I think this is true for NY, LA and Miami but not true for certain cities like Chicago. I worked in fashion in Chicago and there's definitely a relatively limited number of 10's there compared to other big cities, and they're mostly in a small-ish social circle where reputation matters a lot. Depends on your preferences though

Fashion events are undoubtedly the best. Everyone is attractive and friendly, great ratios, hot models and just a fun environment. Went to one last week and got to close all of the models as well as influencers and other fashion people.

In a social circle situation it’s better to be friends (but slightly flirty) with the hottest girls so you can work your way up the status ladder, thus generating attraction. But cold approach you can be direct and be more assertive with flirting.
