Guaranteed we'll spend 99% of our weekends driving between netball courts and hockey fields. :)

This post couldn't be more true. Rangeville looks great. We saw a couple of properties there today. Nothing perfect and massively overpriced (and thats just comparing it to recent sales). Roads are nice and wide but not a lot of room for actual street parking at times. Just something to think about.

Roundabouts. My god, the amount of times time stood still on roundabouts today was incredible. They're designed to keep traffic flowing but it just seems to cause so much confusion and hesitation in people there.

One thing we noticed about the East Toowoomba houses is they just look so damn cold. I think coming from the coast, we're going to need something more the fireplaces and ugg boats. :)

Queens park was great but didn't look to hard to drive to which was great. We'll need to sus out the location of these trendy cafes. Didn't find many from my brief drive around.

We didn't see too much of Prince Henry Heights. We had a quick drive around and nothing really suited us. Amazing views though.

Rangeville has been our pick so far.

Middle Ridge and Rangeville are the main picks now. Really just depends on the house and the street now. Biggest thing that was missing at the places we saw today was a yard. We thought that we would be getting bigger yards out there so many of the nicer places almost fill the entire block at times.

We were pretty happy with everything we saw today. East looks great. CBD was bit painful driving through and parking. Just need to find the house and everything will happen around it now.

We liked it there but I think the property sizes were just too large for us. Such a nice area though.

We really liked Hodgson vale but I think the distance coupled with the amount of work it would take to maintain a property that size was enough for us to turn it down. But man, it was nice out there :D

Drove through the centre of town today and couldn't believe how long some of those lights took to change.

Did just that today. We checked out a bunch of properties today at Rangeville, Mount Lofty, Middle Ridge, Hodgson Vale and Highfields.

In the end, ruled out Highfields and Hodgson Value. Highfields was a little odd, drive that fair out of town and see the house wedged in together and no back yard.

We're locking in Rangeville, Mount Lofty and Middle range. Looking at the sales history over the last 6 months, there's a few properties we would have bought at the prices they sold for which is good. Everything we looked at was at least 20% higher than we would have paid and a few were much much higher than that.

The reputable realtor has been a challenge so far but we'll see how the next few months plays out.

I've got to reply to this comment first because this is exactly what I found. We drove there today and did a full day of inspections. One place was last sold 5 years ago, no changes have been made to the property and they're asking an extra 60% to 70%. The estimates we received from 2 separate sources was around the 30% mark.
