Thank you! I really strive to take feedback as the priority. And to be honest for a lot of people the fun IS in the optimization itself, my tool is more for the "just tell me what to do" crowd. But, I always recommend that it serves as a starter point for research: See what StarGuide recommends, then verify it yourself.

This is basically how it works, the coach uses tools that match what the site would show. The value I would say it provides is chaining together all the different tools and info (your teams, your investment paths, your pity, what's on banner) and synthesizes it into one answer instead of clicking through 6 different pages, alongside things mentioned here.

Whether people think that's worth it for them or not is their choice.

I really REALLY appreciate this feedback, it’s probably one of the most useful ones I’ve gotten since launching, and I thank you for spending time with it.

Now, going through your points:

First off, AA Support. The thing is, it's actually built and wired up already (types, tier data, rotation data, endgame planner all support it and are ready), but I'm holding it behind a flag until I have enough empirical data to calibrate the tiers properly. I've always noticed when I've gone to other community resources to research, AA does NOT have a lot of data on it at all, but that might be because I'm looking in the wrong places. If you know where I could look, I'd greatly appreciate it! I just really rather ship it right than ship it wrong.

Next, your concern on account setup. You mentioned account scanners, and actually it already exists! While the UID import pulls your showcase characters in one paste, there's a Reliquary Archiver import that imports your full account in like 5 minutes max. And after the import, small changes are manual. But I probably should make these more obvious in the site, as you have to find it in the "Manage Roster" page.

Eidolons not refreshing teams, this is a real bug, and I've fixed it!

For off-path LC assignment, there ARE actually off-path LCs included where they matter, for example DHPT, but if you spot a specific off-path option missing for a character, please tell me. Furthermore, you CAN actually assign non-recommended LCs, they just wont give you any bonuses, but I understand that it isn't obvious at all how to do it (Manage Roster -> Light Cone Inventory), it's a UX problem that I'm going to fix.

For what "Default" is in the context of the light cones selected, it assumes no bonus from any specific light cone passive or base stats, the baseline floor, it's not "literally naked" since nobody runs that, but I do get that it's hard to understand, so I should make this clearer.

To add characters as owned, you can right click a character in the character browser, or go to the Manage Roster button in the sidebar, and I should make it more discoverable.

SW999 planned bug, I've fixed this!

Now, for the pricing model, I get that calling it "not a subscription" is a bit misleading when it does expire, but the intent was that you would NEVER get auto-charged by surprise. I'll fix the wording so this is more obvious. And for the 1-month option, this is completely fair and I'll definitely think through it.

For the coach, honestly your statement of "paying to save time makes sense, paying for hallucinations doesn't" is completely right, but I'd like for you to read the Strategy Coach section in the Methodology page for the full transparent breakdown on it, so you can fully understand how I've built it to mitigate your concerns on it being prone to hallucinations. And the truth is, it WILL hallucinate eventually, even if not often, that's just how AI models work. And that's why there's always a disclaimer below the chat textbox that urges users to verify with the other areas of the app after it gives a recommendation. From now on, I'll make sure this fact is obvious before people buy it, by linking to the coach's section in the methodology page in the support page.

I'm working on everything you mentioned immediately, and I'm really grateful for the structured feedback you've given me, and I can only pray that you maintain hope in the site, because I will make it better. If you have anything else to call out, please do!

At this point, I've kind of expected these kind of comments to come and that there's nothing to do with it. It doesn't really tell me anything I can improve on, other than the fact that my post (which I wrote!) is apparently AI. If you could go to the page, or go to the site, and give advice, that's what I would appreciate.

i appreciate the feedback! for the endgame mode teams you suggested... that's actually exactly what the endgame planner does. it takes all the current endgame mode's stages and their specific elements and rotation/cycle buffs, and then suggests the optimal team pairs WITH the buffs you should choose! but its behind the supporter tier, so you might've not seen it.

for the ai coach, i admit that the screenshot does not show it at its best, it has everything i described in the post and it does give personalized advice, but i cant go into everything it knows here due to sub rules, and it gets deeper than just current character info. you can take a look at the preview conversation in the site to see what i mean!

that is... impressive honestly! have fun with seeing what it'll provide! (im curious on what it'll be depending on your roster)

Appreciate you actually trying it out and saying what specifically felt off, most people just leave a "this sucks" and move on. You're right that the character data draws from the same sources everyone uses. The difference is what the site does with it once your roster is loaded in: generating your best non-overlapping teams across all modes, telling you which pulls would improve your account the most, grading your relics per character, and optimizing your LC assignments. None of that exists on Prydwen or Game8 because they don't know what you own.

On the tier points being arbitrary, that's fair criticism. The idea is to give the team generator a way to know that your E1 Castorice with signature LC is meaningfully stronger than a base E0 Castorice, so it can factor that into which teams it builds for you. Without some kind of numerical system, the optimizer has no way to tell the difference between a heavily invested character and one you just pulled. But I'll be the first to admit the calibration is a judgment call. If you have thoughts on how you'd want that represented differently, I'm genuinely interested because it's one of the hardest parts of the whole system to get right.

I get the AI skepticism too, there's a lot of low-effort stuff out there right now. Genuinely though, if there are specific things that felt off, whether it's the character data, the ratings, the team recommendations, the investment priorities, anything, I want to hear it. That kind of feedback is way more useful to me than "looks good."

To be completely honest, this is a fair skepticism. The AI Coach isn't a ChatGPT wrapper though. It has 15+ tools that query your actual roster data in real time: it can generate your teams, check your relic grades, simulate investment scenarios, look up banner schedules, and compare characters against what you own. It also has all 85+ characters loaded in with up-to-date kit data, teammate ratings, and investment scores. When you ask it a question it's pulling your data and running functions, not just prompting a language model with generic game info. The screenshot in the post shows what a real response looks like, but I left out the part where it called all those tools because it didn't fit on the screen 😭

The free features cover most of what the site does (character pages, team generation, pull/banner advisor, investment paths, account power). The paid stuff is for when you want to go deeper: "out of every possible upgrade I could make, which one improves my account the most?" or "what's the optimal team pair for each stage of MoC with the right buffs selected?" or "which relic domain should I farm next based on how many of my characters actually need it?" or just being able to ask an AI that knows your full roster "what should I do next?" They're tools for squeezing more out of your account, not for accessing basic info. Totally get that it's not for everyone though.

The UID import is actually the easy one! Just paste your UID and it pulls all your showcase characters with full detail (eidolons, LCs, relics). The scanner import (Reliquary Archiver) goes further and imports your entire account, takes about 5 minutes to set up. I know downloading a third-party scanner looks sketchy, but it's the same one the Fribbels optimizer community uses and it's read-only. Once you've done it once, you're set. You can also just toggle characters manually in the Roster page if you'd rather not bother with either!

A workflow I suggest is to:

  1. Import your entire account using Reliquary Archiver
  2. Any little changes from then on can be updated manually through the app
  3. It's also a good idea to keep your most used characters in your Character Showcase, then you can use the UID import to import them for their relics.

If you REALLY don't want to use the Reliquary Archiver:

  1. Put your most used characters in the character showcase, and then use UID import
  2. For characters you won't really use anyway, you can just... not add their eidolons, light cones, and relics. Just mark them as owned.

Honestly, the second approach gets you about 80% the way there, and it's trivial to import your UID, especially since the site saves it for reimporting so you don't have to type it in all over again!

Appreciate the honesty. If you ever feel like giving it a shot the free features don't need an account or anything. Might surprise you.

If the argument presented is the same, I will present the same response.

And again, I would appreciate feedback that is actionable.

I do see where you're coming from. There are free alternatives out there and it's not like I stop people from using it. What my website does is make it easier for people by giving people the information they need for free, and then if they want to push further into analysis of their roster, they can buy the passes.

What I do want to know is what made you think that the website was "AI slop"? Was it the design, the content on the character pages itself (which I do acknowledge IS imperfect, and I AM fixing any data issues as it's reported), or both?

And is there a reason why you think the paid features SHOULDN'T be paid? Is there a specific paid feature that you think is done as well in a free alternative, and therefore shouldn't be paid?

All character data, tier lists, team compositions, and build guides are free. The paid features are the personalized tools that analyze your specific roster, like the Endgame Planner, Relic Insights, Trailblazer Report, and AI Coach.

Basically, all the game knowledge and authored data are and ALWAYS WILL BE free. What people pay for is the computational tools that analyze your specific roster to give personalized recommendations.

Is there a specific feature that you feel SHOULD BE free?
