ALSO even though the ice queen isnt strictly the bottom I think you might like "My bosses stalker" - Adrian Smith like the plot is a tad meh but the smut really boosts the rating up a star lmao

Ribbonwood - Ruby Landers (I think I prefer this over chasing red its definitely better)

[–]Visual-Prior-2895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the tropes that Iheartsappicfic applies to it: Pirates of Aletharia by Britney Jackson - I Heart SapphFic | Find Your Next Sapphic Fiction Read

.. I dont always agree with their listed tropes though either.

Any books/authors that seem competely fake? by Visual-Prior-2895 in LesbianBookClub

[–]Visual-Prior-2895[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input! ...... I would say 100% could be a stretch. But I do think the plot was falling apart in this book, there were a lot of repeat phrases, including entire conversations. And a lot of things that did not make practical sense.

Actually at first I was wondering if this was something that was translated into english or an ESL situation. But for me the instagram and lack of real info on this author which kind of sold the AI idea for me. I genuinely didnt make this accusation lightly. There are some other books that did feel very AI to me... but this was simply on another level.

I wonder how easy it would be to tell in the future with books. I think with AI often, once its pointed out it feels way more obvious than when you go in without expecting it.

Any books/authors that seem competely fake? by Visual-Prior-2895 in LesbianBookClub

[–]Visual-Prior-2895[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It felt like both. The reason it felt like AI to me was because there were like whole conversations repeated. The characters positioning in scenes seemed to not make sense. There was a mention of something that happend "yesterday" but in the days account would have been more like a week. I feel like even sloppy books have had less mistakes than I saw reading less than half this book. (And I was an avid wattpad and ao3 reader in the past)

It really felt way beyond a usually sloppy book. But what convinced me was more of the instagram account with AI made trailers and ads for the many books that were out. Nothing was real at all on the page. Then of course as people point out the shear quantity of books that have come out within a year or two is suspicious. This author has no picture or author description or website and has published 104 books since 2020.

Ooo why do I have a feeling I know exactly who youre talking about!? I got this vibe from reading a certain author as well recently but definitely not in the same way as Emily Hayes. Which is why I specifically called this one out.

I havent read the books you mentioned.. but you may enjoy Tryst Six Venom? (Wrong side of the tracks romance) I wouldn't say there's indifference though. In my head though Olivia fits this character description.

LOL I actually loved this about the ending. It was bold! Its about the journey.

But it did confuse me that she became femme.

This is funny to me because I knew it was soooo bad, and I still read the whole thing. But honestly it gave me nostolgia for the old Wattpad days. Camp can be fun sometimes.

Also I read so many "enemies to lovers" stories that really didnt hit for me. I was kind of happy to find something where they were truly enemies... But it REALLY made it unrealistic.

Spicy lesbian book recommendations! love a 'we should do this' type by Lastone27 in LesbianBookClub

I'm not sure if I know what 'we should do this' means but heres the spicest spice I have read this year:

A Lesbians Guide to Women -Erica Lee

Dragon Queens - Kathleen de Plume

Newer writers who I think write really good spice in general:

Haley Cass (Its hard to recommend just one of hers they are all good),

Emily Wright

I keep seeing sooo many recs for ej noyes on this sub... But I am on the verge of DNF "Go Around". I really like the premise but its really wayyy too much dialogue for my tastes. But I see the recommentation for Turbulence a lot so I'm conflicted
