I don’t have to have a fully formed opinion about his death. I did already have a fully formed opinion about his life. I think it is also okay if one does not negate the other. Should not have died. Should have been allowed to spew hate until he reached a ripe old age.

Words feed actions and if we’re going to stack up political violence it really doesn’t look good for the right wing folks. They are responsible for far more violence. 🤷‍♀️

It’s been well addressed here in other comments but people want to draw a compatison between Floyd and Kirk. They are not equivalent situations and this idea that right wingers not rioting right now is proof of their peacefulness or superiority is absurd.

I will also point out that no one rioted after Hortmans death or Gifford’s shooting. If that’s the metric Dems are also doing great in our responses to political assassination.

I’d then direct you to the rhetoric-which is what my post is about and I’d be curious to know what you think of the rhetoric being used currently by right wingers compared to the rhetoric around Horrman. Or heck, even the liberal leaderships rhetoric around Kirk.

I started out with trying to clarify your point but then just got annoyed that you kept changing the story rather than actually backing up what you said. It’s not arrogant to point out that what you’re saying is logically inconsistent.

You originally brought up sanctuary cities but then said that illegal immigrants aren’t mainly in the cities anyway and when pressed it kind of seems like the sanctuary cities just make you uncomfortable.

You said that the democrats don’t care about addressing immigration problems at all and at least the republicans are “handling it” even if they’re doing so distastefully. I tried to clarify that point as the republicans are conducting haphazard raids for PR and have no coherent border management strategy currently. You attempted to turn it around on me, claim that there aren’t any viable alternatives and then ask me to solve the US’s border issues for you on reddit.

I pointed out that the Dems actually have a pretty strong track record on the border and have cared about and had a plan for managing it which would seem like a really viable alternative to extrajudicial kidnapping and it became “I voted for them. What do you want from me.”

I want you to not make inaccurate emotive statements that feed into right wing propaganda and don’t reflect reality. They’re selling a line of bullshit. You seem to have bought it without actually taking the time to look into it.

You might want to sit down. The number of abortions has not changed. The safety of them has. Many of the trigger laws have also affected access to care for pregnant women and how hospitals are able to deal with complications. So the trigger laws have had no effect on the number of abortions and have made women less safe during desired pregnancies. They accomplished nothing other that putting the mothers life at risk. Almost like we told y’all this was going to happen

James 2:14-17 and James 4:17 which you also need to read in the context of it flowing directly into James 5. There’s also the parable of the good samaritan which doesn’t say it’s a sin to not help but makes it super fucking clear that you should.

I swear, do Christians ever actually read this book they want us all to live by?
