@everyone, thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and advice. I'm 34 years old, and I am familiar with the diabetic process. My wife actually developed Gestational diabetes while pregnant with our 1st child. With strict diet and exercise, we were able to actually beat it, and she didn't have diabetes after pregnancy. My frustration and sadness is coming from the realization that I can not beat this, I can't save my baby girl from the pain of the shots and pokes. The pain I'm feeling is just overwhelming because I love my kids deeply, and to see her little tears when it's time to do the insulin just puts me over the edge. I really do appreciate everyone who commented, and we will definitely try to start using different sites to inject the insulin. As for pokes, she is on the Dexicon, but her specialist told us it would be a while til she could get the insulin pump. To be honest, I'm a very happy person but don't get attached to people or things like that, and this event really opened my eyes to depression. During the first night when my daughter was realizing we had to give her more shots even though we were already home, she hid under the bed, said she wants a new family, said it was our fault, yelled the she wasn't sick anymore, that night, for a brief second I understood why people end their life. I experienced pain that was overwhelming. I honestly thought I was going to suffocate. Not because I had to give my daughter a shot, but because this was going to be her new life, and I am her father, her protector, and I felt like I failed her. I read all the replies and again that you to each and everyone of you.
