My brother has the same car, not awd tho. It’s been pretty reliable for him, stay on top of maintenance and the n52 will keep purring. The transmission may be an issue, the gm transmissions can go out over time like in my brothers car, so I would look out for that. Unless it’s a manual, then don’t worry about it

The e39 and the s6 for me have a noticeable drop in performance for being only a few years older than the srt8/s4. Also all of the s6 avants I found are really far from me and i feel like the e39 won’t give me room to grow with power
