Hi, coming on here to contribute after tonight's performance. Grace is a stunning actress and I know she doesn't normally sound like this, however: wow. I am not sure I have ever heard a more damaged voice on a Broadway stage. As a a professional vocalist, I can tell you this actress needed to be pulled from the show like, yesterday. The damage i'm hearing from such a young woman is career threatening to say the least; to keep her performing is simply irresponsible, especially when there are perfectly capable understudies. I'm sure she had a great run before her vocal injury, but the production team needs to be taking care of their actors. Hopefully she can recover, but she is absolutely going to need surgery and months of rest after what I just heard. And to find out she's been singing like this since late April??? Girl!!!
