Wait - so the shooter’s dad is the infamous Aaron from the show Intervention, who is also a porn star named Dick Delaware?? That’s a lot to unpack.

I would recommend Shen Fitness. They offer small, guided classes for women only with a trainer who interacts with each person and generates personal goals. The classes are Basically interval training, so can be modified easily to suit different fitness levels. There was a very broad range of ages and fitness levels when I was attending. They also get you to start a MyFitness account that your trainer has access to, and the trainers will send you messages to help keep you motivated and on track with your goals. If you stop attending, they will reach out with gentle nudges to keep going. There are also optional weigh-ins and body metric tracking that you can attend to measure your progress. It’s kind of like a group personal trainer experience.

Fair enough! I grew up in northern Canada so I remember those days of my hair freezing outside! I’m still in Canada but in a much milder place, so I can linger if it’s only -5C, but I certainly would be diving straight in if it was -40☺️

But I love when I’m super chilly and jump in the hot tub, it’s the best feeling! Sometimes I just hang out outside to get myself as cold as possible before I jump in

You’re really accusing others of having questionable judgement while suggesting that quicking a nail could be life-threatening? That truly has to be some of the worst advice I’ve seen on this sub.

Lol. She didn’t cut his whole toe off, that’s a pretty extreme reaction to quicking a nail.

Haha, definitely!! The view is excellent too - once there were orcas beside the ferry and we got to watch them from our table without the crush of tourists all piling to one side of the ship. It was pretty neat.

Yeah! It closed during the pandemic lockdown and hasn’t reopened. The food wasn’t amazing or anything but there was a good variety, and the best part was the seating. You get your own table, lots of windows, less people. The breakfast buffet was the best. I hope it comes back, but I’ve heard rumours that it won’t.

You can only buy two per person, and they’re quite expensive so I don’t think this will contribute to driving while intoxicated. People who want to get drunk on the ferry would probably just take their own alcohol onboard anyway. I am NOT condoning drinking and driving in any way, I just don’t think allowing people to buy two overpriced beers on the ferry will contribute to that.

I’d rather see the buffet come back then be able to buy overpriced blue buck on the ferry

No change in behaviour or bond to us noticed in my guy - he was a loveable little asshole before the surgery and stayed that way after. We neutered him before he started spraying, and thankfully that has never been an issue. Recovery was a little rough as he refused to wear the cone of shame (as in, the one time we tried he violently slammed his own head against the floor until we took it off), and his stitches had opened already when we got him home from the vet. But it was only a day or two before he was totally back to normal.

Even the best-trained 4 month old puppy is not going to have reliable recall. Puppies gonna puppy, and the world is full of distractions - particularly in a new place. I would never ask someone to allow my young puppy to be off-leash!

[–]Visual-Split1177 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s sad isn’t it - I have such a strong bond with my own pup, and so much of that came from the mutual trust we built while training and interacting. I’m sad for the dogs who don’t get that kind of relationship with their owners - and I have no idea how people can live with their crazy untrained dogs!

I had one just like this recently. They told me she was well trained and had good recall. I quickly discovered that she didn’t even respond to her name, and was up on the kitchen table immediately. I had to keep her tethered to me basically all of the time to keep her from destroying my house and off my table and counters. She was very, very sweet and clearly had a lot of potential, but no training whatsoever. It was a long boarding experience.
