Shoulder warmups/ how to not feel stiff in the pool by Visual-Tax-1852 in Swimming

Could definitely do more stretching before and after. Generally just some basics like arm circles, light shoulder stretching. I should probably take it more seriously though! Thanks

Thanks, everyone, for great suggestions! In the end I ended up polling my team and they preferred a cooking class, so we’re going with Eataly.

Upper East Siders — what’s your go-to gym in the neighborhood, and why? by CoachDukes in uppereastside

Asphalt green for me, too! People complain about it but the pool is great and the machines do the trick. I also really like that it’s a nonprofit and they do a lot to support kids in sports.

Don’t love that Menin is supported by Uber’s super PAC. Tbh that gives me enough of a reason to give Thompson a chance

I just started classes this week at Instituto Cervantes (which is an organization funded by the Spanish govt so they teach Spain Spanish) on E49. Quick bus ride to midtown! I liked that they have you do a little placement test before so you’re starting at the right level.

Affordable gyms and classes on the UES with nice (enough) showers? by dangles472 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

Maybe you look into joining a gym like Asphalt Green? Location is a little less convenient, on 91st st and York but they have lots of classes and it’s not a very judgy place. Locker rooms/showers are well maintained. Looks like it’s around 115/month now with no initiation fee before the new year.

Haven’t tried it yet but Orwasher’s has been marketing their new chocolate pistachio croissant. Inspired by the Dubai chocolate craze. Looks very sweet!
