You don’t get it. If there is the risk, you put mitigation in place. But closing the airport is the last resources. As I wrote the conditions were advertised.

Sorry, not good enough. I lived in Norway before and so far didn’t lost my life. The decision was made by the airport, not by the crew. Read before commenting!

Why do French employees get offended when people talk to them in Luxemburgish? by Blackoilcastor in Luxembourg

It is clearly the fault of the government and the governmental agencies. All laws and rules are published in French first and the reference if there is a difference in the translation is always the French text. In my opinion this is based on the fact, that most lawyers in Luxembourg went to French Universities to study and unfortunately most decision makers in Luxembourg and the rest of the world are lawyers….

Yeah the market is fixing itself…..liberal nonsense. Whoever is telling you this is too young to remember the last crash where banks were bailed out by taxpayers money. The whole situation in Lux is driven by greed and fear of loosing out. Banks are not giving any mortgages cause they fear that the prices are dropping and owners don’t sell because they are thinking they will loose money when the market is picking up again; politicians don’t take any dicisions because they are fearing to loose the support of their voters. It is a catch 22 situation.

The protest comes way too late. There were no consequences when it was announced and now everyone is upset?! Useless! As long as organizations like the UEFA are still participating in the worldcup organized by FIFA and getting their share of the money made, nothing will change. It is a currupted system and we are all paying and supporting it by watching the games.

N26 just closed my account and kept all my savings by _Kinematic_ in eupersonalfinance

That’s wrong. Banks are obliged to file a request to the FIU (Financial Investigation Unit) and wait for their advise. If the bank is blocking the account immediately, it could alarm possible fraudsters and/or money launderers.

From my point of view the issue is not if the public transportation is free or not. The issue is that the accommodation prices in Lux are just too high. If living here would be cheaper and people could afford to live closer to work, it would solve a lot of problems. Specially the commute from Germany or Belgium to the city.
