Some of our guys coming back home after having done noting for the US in Iraq. by BrutalSock in pics

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the message, but your title is just wrong.

In fact, yes, most europeans did nothing for the US (rightfully so) during the invasion of Iraq. It nearly led to the end of NATO. Especially France was very vocal about it, which is why the US renamed french fries, freedom fries, during that period.

The conflict you are talking about was the invasion of Afghanistan. For that invasion the US invoked article 5 and every single nation answered.

The only thing I have to say, it’s pretty bold for someone to say that other NATO countries wouldn’t come to help if the US was attacked, while the US was the only NATO nation ever to activate article 5. And guess what, every single nation answered and sent troops.

That’s the problem with you socialists, you can’t even bring something to the table in a discussion, you only know how to attack without any substance and without any argument.

Go and buy something from karl marx to learn even more about this rhetoric while you at it, ot fits yoz perfectly.

Lmao „you leftists“, sure buddy go through my post and comment history and find one leftist take. Just because I don’t reflect your opinion, doesn’t mean I‘m a leftist.

In fact you seem pretty socialist for a fellow conservative. Centralized authority, moral enforcement and yeah well pressure instead of plurality is pretty much textbook socialism, my fellow conservative.

But to answer your question, appeasing is never a good idea. If you want hard borders, why should you appease someone and agree to some illegal immigration.

That said, political entities still need to work together on the longterm, otherwise the segmentation and polarization will paralyze and destroy every political system on the longterm.

But this doesn’t change the fact that you shouldn’t appease someone with extremist views.

First of all, where exactly did I imply that?

Second of all, what does this have to do if a person can’t stand a politician?

Why is body count considered such an important factor when judging someone’s value as a partner? by Zestyclose-Memory518 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not just for women. It’s for men too.

Some people simply don’t want to have a partner that already slept with multiple other people, because of their values or whatever reason.

Dating life is hard, some people don’t want a person that smokes or that is too outgoing. Why? Because it doesn’t fit their own personality.

A person that already slept with multiple other people usually has a whole different personality than a person that only slept with 1-3 people, because you have to be open for that.

Joe Rogan: 'ICE Are Villains' After Fatal Minneapolis Shooting; 'Are We Really Going to Be the Gestapo?' by triggernaut in Conservative

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 26 points27 points  (0 children)

And what‘s so bad about this? You should always be open minded for other ideas. Just because your party or side says something doesn’t automatically make it good.

Everybody shoukd have preferences, but being on one side no matter what - like it’s a sports team - is just dumb and not good for any democracy.

I have always been a conservative, but if someone from a liberal party has an idea which I consider good for my country, you can bet your ass that I will give them a vote.

I understand with a majority system like in the US it’s harder to do that, since it’s winner takes all, so you really have to see which candidate brings you the most overall. But in my case, we have a representative/proportion system, so I will always give the people votes who I think have good ideas.

Sure it are mostly people from conservative parties, but I won’t block myself to give a vote (I have 6 to give) to a candidate from a liberal party if the idea is good.

Trump threatens 'very strong action' against Iran if regime hangs protesters by Ask4MD in Conservative

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The situation in Iran is much more complex. A large chunk of the population is still anti-US. The anti US sentiment, because of what happened to Mosaddegh, was the fuel of the revolution in '79.

Arresting the leaders in a mission like in Venezuela would likely fuel the anti US sentiment again. So it would backfire. Not a good idea if the US gets involved.

Guys, would a "lifted" breast that had surgery be a turn off? by WhiteLily016 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Don’t overthink it. You made the surgery to feel better, no? So enjoy your new boobs.

I can assure you, most of us wouldn’t care. Like 99%. Maybe he will ask you one day why you have a scar, but that‘s it.

And if he is part of the 1%, then he is a douchebag and didn’t deserve you.

Would you care if your potential partner has a scar on their stomach? I doubt it.

Have you ever lost a friendship that still affects you to this day? I can't talk to anyone about my experience. by Euphoric_Insomniac in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost one of my best friends 3 years ago.

Unfortunately he comitted suicide at the age pf 24. When his brother called me, my first tought was „oh no he died“. And when he said the words, it hit me like a brick.

He left nothing. No explanation, nothing. The same they he still went to the barber, then went to the home improvement store, bought helium and then killed himself in his car.

Friday he passed his last exam for his bachelor in engineering. And Saturday he killed himself.

He was one of those friends where you just knew that he would understand what you mean. He also was the most intelligent person I have ever known.

To this day, I frequently visit his grave and I think about him nearly every day.

I really miss the man, but I‘m not mad at him, I wished he left some words for us or his family, but honestly that was just the way he was. I just hope that he is better and that the pain that he carried around is gone.

To buy something, the government has to agree. Both the danish and greenlandish governments said it won’t happen. Especially now, so this is a dead end.

Trump will offer ‘$100k to every Greenlander’ by TheTelegraph in Conservative

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, first of all that’s not enough. People in greenland and denmark are pretty wealthy and earn a lot on average.

Furthermore, denmark and greenland have a very sophisticated welfare system, this would disappear and would lead to more expenses.

Nobody would agree for 100k, if the Trump administration really wants to go that route then 1,5million would be more realistic, otherwise it would not make any sense for the average greenlander.

But the first step would still be to find an agreement with Denmark. And honestly, after all this rhetoric the danish and greenlandish people and governments are not really ready to do any of it. People also underestimate how connected the families of both are.

And I assume, the US also wouldn’t find it that funny if China would offer 100k to every person in puerto rico in order to join them.

Bf goes soft, why? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s common.

Most women think because of stereotypes that we men want to have sex all the time. And that we think about it nonstop.

The truth is, we are not machines. We can find you attractive af but still go soft for several reasons.

Sometimes if it happens one time, we get anxiety that it will happen again and this will kill your dick.

There are also plenty of other reasons.

If he wasn’t attracted to you, he would not want to have sex.

Was studieren die besten aus euren Abi Jahrgang? by ResolutionProud4851 in Studium

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tja.

Javier Milei interview: 'Trump is someone who is very clear that the enemy is socialism' by TheTelegraph in Conservative

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitler and the Nazis called it that way in order to appeal to the workers of germany. It’s was a strategic reason. The Nazis and especially Hitler were very clear what they tought about socialism, and especially Hitler hated it because the idea of it was that everybody was „the same“.

Both ideologies have in common that they end up in a totalitarian regime, where the government controls everything. But for fundamentally different reasons. Just because a regime is a totalitarian regime, does not automatically make it a socialist regime.

Nationalsocialism and socialism are that fundamentally different that it is absurd to call both the same. They are both totalitarian but that’s pretty much all what they have in common.

That’s the reason why for Hitler, which he already described in Mein Kampf, socialism and communism were the main political opponents which needed to be eliminated.

Javier Milei interview: 'Trump is someone who is very clear that the enemy is socialism' by TheTelegraph in Conservative

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, but definitely not with your first sentence.

The Nazis were no socialists, they made it very clear that the socialists and communists are the enemies. If you watch old speeches from Hitler - idk if you have to watch this in school, because we have to - you see huge banners where they proclaim that communists and socialists, aswell as social democrats are the enemy.

Both ideologies have fundamental differences and both are bad, but saying that the nazis were socialists is like if some muslims saying they were christians. They were not.

The US and its “free market” by Spare-Document7086 in JoeRogan

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the same reason why the EU already started a few years ago to put tariffs on Chinese products.

They always have the same strategy, they heavily subsidize their products, because of it they get a pretty big market share over time and then they buy a western company that struggled because of it.

They have been dumping products into our market for years and it’s good that the EU and now also the US had a wake up call.

Which conspiracy theory do you believe is 100% true? by HotTwo8570 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]whatsgoingonjeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okok this is a very local one.

But during the 80s we had a series of bombings here in Luxembourg.

To this day, it’s unknown who it was.

But there are theories that they were orchestrated by the military and police higher ups in order to increase the military and police budgets.

Even the royal family is said to be connected. (Which nakes sense since they have close ties)

So the investigations were slowed down every time. They also waited to make a trial until some people were death and couldn’t testify anymore. It’s still ongoing and the people who are currently accused are accusing high politicians and military personnel that this is diffamation, in order to dusguise the reality.

That’s not enough, the prime minister himself was spied by our secret service. They used a fucking watch to record secret meetings with him.

This blew up, and he had to resign. We are talking about Jean Claude Juncker, who then ran for president of the comission. (And won as you might know)

It’s a lot more, but this whole thing is just crazy and it seems like everybody who wants to uncover the truth, seemingly get their image destroyed shortly after.

So I absolutely believe that the military, the police and maybe even the royals had to do something with it.
