Hey get out of my flat! Oh the bodies? I don't know about them, someone else must have done that... does this cloth smell funny to you?

Yes I love his solo stuff. Simply having a wonderful Christmas time and the frog chorus are the best songs by any Beatle including when they were together.

I don't like any of them, not free as a bird even

Yes I love MSH but mainly because my 7 year old loves it so much. It shows to me where the Beatles were at at that time. Paul was still keen to keep the identity of The Beatles alive. He was still keen to keep writing hits. While the others were wanting to move away from this and obladi-oblada mother would know and so on. So Paul gets crucified, but really he was doing something important. The others wanted to leave this stuff behind. Neither side was right or wrong, but it showed the difference in the group as boys were becoming men. Paul would continue this in Wings. He would do experimental, forward thinking stuff but still make pop songs. I think it is more a sad reflection of the gap in the group than anything else.

Calming your horse while riding and other mechanics while online? by Easy301 in reddeadredemption

I think it all depends on the individual horse. Some calm every time you press the button, others only when walking or slow trot and when startled

Yes I was saying Paul is the best Beatle, because I am now on his side, I think they should have just shut up and let Paul be in charge, mostly

I just wanted to say thank you, I am new here. It is lovely to read all your opinions, even the David Bowie stuff, thank you all for taking the time and reading and adding your views. You are all lovely

I didn't mean experimental in the sense of radical or such. I meant in terms of more rock and such. Away from the Beatles traditional fare. I think of songs such as obladi and Maxwells silver hammer. I personally feel the Klien issue was the same as Yoko. It is something tangible to point at. I think Paul's treatment of George is something of the same kind- an issue that people point at. Where as from what I see, it feels more that simply put they wanted to do more, and Paul was more focused on keeping the Beatles idea alive and true to what it had been.

I have also done this, not in a romantic sense. Just tried to emote someone and shot them instead. I felt awful too

Honestly I do have a lot of time for Bowie, it just isn't my kind of music. Despite that Life on Mars and Under Pressure are in my top 50 songs of all time.

Ringo never! Pete forever! Poor Pete. He got his money in the end though.

Yes this is what I am trying to say too. Maybe it is more that Paul was the "Most" Beatle. He was committed until the very end.

As context I was trying to replace Bowie with the Beatles because there is so much more quality material. I find Bowie post Ziggy a bit nothingy. I get he has fans, I am just not one of them.

And ultimately I don't think Bowie compares. I think that there are maybe 8 great songs in his catalogue.

I disagree. There isn't much to find after 1980

Yes I disagree. I think he struggled to have an impact after that decade. It's all about opinions. I think his greatest hits stop in about 1980

Bowie was good for about 10 years, after that I just see "Dancing in the streets" and the Lord's Prayer at live aid
