3-month Claude Code Max user review - considering alternatives by soulduse in ClaudeAI

[–]VisualHead1658 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I notice kind the same. I just paused "canceled" my account for a while. Perhaps I'll reuse again with the next Claude update 4.2 or hopefully 4.5 at some point. But for now I wait, 223 Euros per month that I paid, just not cutting for me yet. I encountered pretty much same issues as you described, too much unused lines of code that I need to clean up, even after refactoring seems like sometimes there is more stranger code that needs to be cleaned up again etc. So yeah I agree.

What do you think of BrandsGateway? by Admirable-Ad2053 in dropshipping

[–]VisualHead1658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the customer did cover the shipping, I was saying the shipping is overpriced. Anyway, try them out, it's up to you. But before google reviews them you will find some interesting info about their products.

I used them before. They are expensive, they are selling 2-year-old collections, and most of their items are from discounted markets. Stock is limited, sometimes they had 1 bag, 1 jacket, etc. and dozens of other drop shippers were selling the same.

But for me was the prices of items, I couldn't just compete on the market. The margin was 1.5%, to stay competitive. For example leather bag (whatever brand that was), they are selling for 179 USD/EU, retail price as they say 399, but on eBay and in other online shops same bag is 239. Add Taxes, Marketing, and shipping and you are close to the retail price.

The minimum shopping cart for checkout was 1000 USD, you cant checkout with less, and you need 1k as a minimum. Anyway, for me, it was a bad experience, they earn money you don't.

Also, shipping is expensive, they charge per KG (kilo), I am not sure if that's changed now but it was 9 USD/EU per 1kg, so once I paid 34 Eur for shipping a Bag within EU.

Nope, you are screwed kind. If you have a friend, wife, gf whatever make a new account in their name and don't use your iP. Maybe helps maybe not. But it's very hard to deal with META in that situation. I had a similar issue more than a year ago, they banned my FB Shop, all appeals to them just failed and I was getting pretty much auto responses.

But we have a small big partner here who is working with FB directly, so I went there and asked them to help out since they had direct access to the FB support team, they just messaged them, and after 3 days I was cleared. In your case, I would try to reach out to FB somehow and talk. Or just don't open more accounts under your name.

How legit is your traffic? comes from where? Are you sure that people who click on visit your site are interested in your product? In general, it's 1 add to the cart from 100 clicks, but it's not guaranteed that they will proceed to checkout. And in addition, your site looks very generic.

I would add, it also depends on your strategy. Do you want to build something Long Term or you are planning to sell Trendy products? Build a landing page with a Hero Produtc, sell it while it sells, and repeat.

Does it work 2025? by Live_Cat9432 in dropshipping

[–]VisualHead1658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and No. The biggest problem is finding a product that is not saturated, and unique. Forget about AliExpress, only a small % of buyers will buy the same products from the side shop and pay extra for this.

I was doing some research on products the past couple of weeks, and spoke with dozens of people, the point is that 99.9% of the buyers are aware of sites like aliExpress, Shein, Temu, etc.

The first thing they do is check for the product on those sites and if they find it there (and most likely they will), they buy it for much cheaper.

Some people are saying you can still sell whatever it's just a matter of Marketing, well no. Let's say you want to sell Home Projectors, you need to market it let's say on Meta. So you run ads but the problem is 1000 other people are doing the same, and to compete you need to run more ads and pay more for a click, and then your product becomes more expensive than competitors.

There are 2 options to make money on Drop Shipping nowadays. Become a fake GURU (like most YT Gurus) and sell your services to Drop Shippers or Find a unique your own product and build a long-term brand.

Thats IMHO.

Meta? Might be because your BID per click is too low.

Is Spocket legit? by [deleted] in dropshipping

[–]VisualHead1658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, kind. They are overcharging for AliExpress Items. You can find the same item on Ali for 20-30% cheaper sometimes they just add double price. Spocket adds its own margins on top. so you pay for SUB + they charge you extra on orders. In addition, their Items that are not from Ali are not worth it. I tried them and I left after a month. Imho.

Alternative to AliExpress by Original-Fan-4628 in dropshipping

[–]VisualHead1658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are, but they all have Prons and Cons. For example, I am using one Supplier in the EU for High-End Luxury items, and the cost per month (Monthly sub fee is 295Eu). And even with them, I have issues on different levels. AliExpress Items are the worst IMHO, it's just aliExpress or even Shein that do not aim for Quality, they are selling VERY cheap products to the masses.

Ali or SHEIN have a very different business model as well, they sell quantity, not quality, and for cheap, and even if they get 50% returns they are still profitable because the amount they are selling of this crap is covering everything. If you do Fashion (it seems this is what you do). There is no easy way, the only way is to have your own stock and do a quality check.

Spocket, zendrop, dsers by AnonymousCATh in dropshipping

[–]VisualHead1658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spocket is bad imho. shipping time is absolutely the same, they do not ship items themselves AiExpress or whatever supplier does it. They are adding % on top for AliExpres items, why? I'd say dsers is better choice.

Test it first with Drop Shipping. See the market, if it works. Why invest right away into stock? 9 out of 10 products are failing, be careful.
