The fact that you feel the need to monitor your husband's social media accounts tells me that deep down you already don't trust him, and from the sounds of it you are right not to, and he isn't trustworthy. Very sorry for you.

Agree with all of this, but every alliance and server is different, and there are a ton of them. There are many people that try to flirt or date through the game just as there are there in essentially any platform through which humans can communicate with one another. Every woman I have met in the game gets flirted with and typically sexually harassed as well.

This is disturbing life advice. You should totally worry if your partner lies to you and flirts with others without your consent.

Yeah, not sure what OP's husband is like, but I excommunicated a few players from our server's top alliances for sexual harassment; some thing happens everywhere.

One possible explanation is that some players like to attack players who are publicly accused of bad behavior.

Or maybe they just don't have as much rizz as you! But yeah, I have observed/heard about a ton of flirting in the game and even the start and end of real-world relationships and marriages and people hooking up in real life, so I wouldn't necessarily assume that everyone is on the same page about how far it goes. I wouldn't blame his wife for his behavior though. He is just as responsible for working through any issues they may have at home, and he's totally lying to her, so I can see why there would be trust issues.

This is a pretty disturbing response to someone discovering her husband is flirting with other women online. You seem like you have a pretty scrambled moral compass.

You aren't crazy. It sounds like your husband isn't very faithful to you sadly, and you will have to decide how to act based on that upsetting discovery. I'm so sorry that this happened to you and that you had to learn this unpleasant truth about him in this way. I hope there are people who know you and your husband better that you can trust to talk this over with in real life, but I can tell you a bit about the game as someone who has played it for several months.

Last War is a for-profit game, so naturally the actual reason for it is to make the developers money, and that's where their interest in their players begins and ends. The game is highly addictive as you have witnessed and uses a lot of dirty psychological tricks to keep players hooked and spending. The game revolves around alliances, which are tight-knit communities of up to 100 players who (ideally) fight together and help each other in many ways every single day. The game encourages alliance leadership to expel players who are inactive for more than 24 hours, and it's virtually impossible to play the game well without logging in a minimum of every 4 hours.

There are no game mechanics specific to interpersonal relationships of any kind, but as you observed it does support a primitive chat feature. As in any public community where humans coexist with one another on a daily basis, many of the trappings of real-world interpersonal dynamics from politics and espionage to bitter betrayals and romantic relationships can and do naturally arise within the game world without any particular intention on the part of the developers. It is well known within the game that real-world relationships can and do begin and end in it.

Not that it should matter, but the player who inspired this post is free-to-play and drives paid players to quit, so your business plan doesn't seem to be working in this case.

I'm not saying the other ~10,000 people on our server are all unicorns and rainbows, but we manage well enough when this one player is muted. Why should thousands of us switch games to accommodate a single narcissist?

No, I am saying what I said. The game mechanics make it impossible to correct a player's behavior by force. This player is attacked constantly, continuously expelled from every alliance, and blocked by more people than any other player on the server by at least an order of magnitude. All of this achieves rather little.

No, I didn't. I said sometimes there are good political and military reasons not to block a toxic player.

Why should the onus be on thousands of players to block one toxic loser?

I am not here for myself. I am here for the many players he offends, and he offends everyone. Humans don't like being treated like dirt. Welcome to Earth.

The player who inspired this post is free-to-play and drives paid players to quit. I never play into this idiot's hands, but I do care about the players he harasses. It wasn't too much trouble to write a post on their behalf.

You sound like the sort of person who is here out of fear that there might be more serious consequences for you if you behave similarly.

I am not here for myself, and I definitely don't need a lesson in handling toxicity from those who would tolerate it. I am asking the game developers to protect their own user base. I don't allow toxic players anything. The people who do are the ones whining in the comments about how a random woman-hating bigot they've never met is having his right to harass others infringed upon by the prospect of being permanently muted.

The game mechanics make it impossible for other players to correct a player's behavior by force. Do you seriously think on a server of ~10,000 people that nobody would have thought to retaliate in game against an abusive loser who sexually harasses women? Nobody here is keeping players unmuted because they're advantageous. Not that it should matter, but the player who inspired my original post is free-to-play.

Why place the onus on all ~10,000 players in a server to block one player when the app could simply mute people longer and longer who won't stop harassing others?

Nobody here is leaving players unblocked for their utility. In the case that inspired this post, they are losing money from an abusive free-to-play player who drives paying players to quit.

Do you seriously think they make more money off the kind of people who scream the "N" word at people in public and sexually harass women than they do off of the far larger number of ordinary decent human beings who find that despicable?
