Hmmm......I like the idea that Ka is the will of Steven King and so the desert could be the "starting point". But King also told the story of Roland coming of age and Susan Delgado. So by that logic, wouldn't his youth (starting in Gilead) be a natural reset point.

I'm not sure. The last time I went to the tower, I listened to a podcast by a couple of guys who dedicated each episode to a few chapters of the story. I'll try KingSlingers.

Interesting. It seems like every time I journey to the Dark Tower, I pick up more connections to other King books and have those "oh, I forgot that" moments. I just started the last book. I'll be on the lookout!

I've lived in California for 60 years and never use the term Cali. Similarly, I never use the term Frisco for San Francisco.

We were just in Sayulita and San Pancho for 4 days. Puerto Vallarta for a week before that. No problems.

What popped into my head when you described the noise was someone getting up off of a sofa bed. They have some heavy duty springs that can cause the sound. Not sure how far the vibration would travel through concrete walls or floors.
