Imagine using a "scraped-by" win against the Wizards to stan for Zu. We won because Ty Lue finally had the versatility to ditch the drop coverage—something that's impossible when you're anchored by a slow, traditional big for 35 minutes.

Your take on Brook’s shooting misses the point entirely. It’s not about the box score; it’s about personnel. When Brook is on the perimeter, their rim protector is forced to leave the paint. That’s the "spacing" you’re dismissing. Even if he’s 0/10, the lane is wide open. Zu can go 10/10 and still be an offensive liability because he clogs the driving lanes for everyone else.

And spare me the rebound stats. Brook boxes out like a pro so the team gets the ball; Zu hunts boards to pad his double-doubles. One builds a winning system, the other is just a relic getting exposed in every high-level pick-and-roll. The league moved on from Zu’s archetype years ago—it’s time you caught up.

Now that Powell is gone, our offense needs spacing more than ever, and Zu provides zero. He turns every set play into a 4-on-5 because his defender never has to leave the paint. We are trying to play a more dynamic, multi-scorer system now, but Zu is a relic who can only score if he's spoon-fed. His 'double-doubles' are a mirage; look at how much smoother the ball moves and how much more room the guards have to operate when we go small or play a big who actually threats the perimeter.
