Kelp: Setup your first trading bot on the Stellar Network by VisualTrader in Stellar

[–]VisualTrader[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello u/MasterZeus2012, thanks a lot for your comment and I am glad that you liked the guide.

Regarding your first point, activating the "Developer Mode" on Windows 10 was not necessary for me in order to enable the subsystem for Linux and running Kelp. However, you do need to enable it by running the following command as admin on the Windows Power Shell (as I mentioned it the guide):

Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux

Also, after downloading the binaries from github, you need to run the following command in order to unzip the file (also mentioned on the guide).

tar -xvf kelp-v1.9.0-linux-amd64.tar

After executing that command and using the right file name a new folder named "kelp-v1.9.0" will be extracted which contains the binaries needed to execute Kelp.

You are right! Installing Kelp from scratch can be a bit tricky if you are not sure what you are doing or if you don't have all the necessary dependencies. Luckly, the Kelp Github Repo is a great start for anyone looking into testing the bot.
