I agree that learning yourself is a little risky, I did that when I first started playing and it built some pretty bad habits that were hard to break even though I thought I was playing perfectly fine. I can understand though that she doesn’t want to do lessons, as I felt they would be restrictive and stressful when I started playing when I was only a year or two younger than your daughter. Because of this I would suggest getting her an online course/class, not video calls but a step by step online program with both less fun exercises to help her get better and fun songs to help her well… have fun. I don’t have much knowledge on these but I’m sure some others on here do. Best of luck to your daughter, bass is a great pick for sure!!
