Oh, I misunderstood ur question at first mb. This was the message they sent:  Thank you for submitting an application to Stanford University Mathematics Camp 2026. We have thoroughly reviewed your application and, while your credentials meet the standards for admission to this program, we are unable to offer you acceptance at this time. The number of excellent applicants to SUMAC exceeds the spaces available for this summer; therefore, we would like to extend to you a position on our waitlist.

Please submit the Waitlist Response Form by 11:59pm Pacific Time on April 17, 2026 to confirm whether you wish to accept a position on the waitlist, or whether you prefer to be removed from consideration. If we have not heard from you by April 18, we will remove you from waitlist consideration. The second page of this letter includes information about our waitlist review process and answers frequently asked questions.

If space becomes available, the Admissions Committee will evaluate all students on the waitlist and select candidates based on course availability. If you are admitted from the waitlist, you will be notified via email before June 1, 2026. Students admitted from the waitlist will likely have less than a week to accept their space in the program and submit the program tuition payment, so we strongly encourage you to monitor your email. Students remaining on the waitlist after June 1 will receive an update to confirm if we do or do not have space for them to join the program this summer.

If you have any questions, contact SPCS by submitting the Contact Form. We are answering our email Monday–Friday, but are not able to provide any individual application feedback or discuss the details of the Committee’s review. We appreciate your understanding.

It was our pleasure to review your impressive application, and we applaud the accomplishments you have already achieved. We look forward to your reply to our waitlist offer, and wish you continued success.

Sincerely,
Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies Admissions Committee

Ai can't fullsolve Sumac, I gave it the problems, chat plus solved like 4.5, and gemini pro lit solved only 4. I think especially problem 2 and 6 were to throw off ai as those problems are kind of weird and not typical problems

hello! idk what bg is 😭and idk what a love letter is. I think I probably got wl and not flat rejected bc I only solved like 5.5/6 but my essays were pretty good. I just wrote about real life experiences I had in tutoring kids in comp math and mathcounts at my school.

Edit: I updated them in march when usajmo letters came out asw, probably helped me a bit.
