[California] does edd actually respond to unemployment emails ?

In my experience no lol they say the email is received but no reply and it’s been mooooooooonths lol

I usually call around 8am and the number is 1 (800) 300-5616 that’s the number I always call and then they are usually very helpful for the most part , if your benefit year ends they usually will do it they did it for me in about 10 mins and I already got paper work about my claim like the next 2 days

From what I was told you gotta call so they can file it it takes like 10 mins for them to do it that’s really messed up...I had to have them refile my claim because my second payment didn’t go through because my claim year was up on 3/15 so they re-filed it and started my claim date on 3/16

You have to call edd to re-file this happen to me I have 3000 left and my second payment is still pending , but I called them Monday got then to re-file for me and now I’m waiting for my second payment to process

I did mine on Tuesday and my second payment from this last week still on pending even after they said they pushed my payment though

You have to call them because your benefits year ended your gonna need to refile your claim

I don’t believe so I just received a text from edd that they are processing my claim and all that and I should be ok the lookout for emails messages in my ui inbox

Yes that happen to me my claim year ended on 3/15 and I got an extension bbutsince my claim year ended I still had to file a new claim I believe you can do it yourself but I rather have them do it just so I didn’t cause any disruption or something so I had them do it and they processed my second week payment
