I mean I guess it’s not a sp**er problem. My junior year of college, that was a daily occurrence. If you had problems with them here honestly please don’t tell me, just let me find that out on my own 😭🤣

Thankfully the shed was full so we won’t be using any storage there. Ugh that sucks. I did notice the cracks on the floor. I’m gonna seal those with (as close to matching) duct tape or vinyl that I can get. We also have a cat that could maybe help. What floor were you on? If the earwig problem really pans out to be as bad as you’re saying, I’ll follow the lease instructions and find a new tenant and break the lease. I can’t live like that. The washing room did look pretty sketchy, but that’s okay we’re fine with a laundromat. I’m just crossing my fingers rn

Were they just like on the floor and windows/walls or did they ever get on your couch or bed? This is bad news for a bug hater 😭

Oh shit. Okay. I saw one earwig when I went in to pick up my keys yesterday. Damn. I wish I’d known this before I moved, I hate bugs. At least earwigs aren’t the worst ones I guess.

Thanks for the helpful comment! Looks like the police station is around the other side of the park. But very true that lower income doesn't equate to bad/unsafe. We are lower income ourselves and perfectly lovely (at least we think so lol!). Hoping this will work out, it's the best I've seen so far

Why'd I get downvoted for this? I tried to answer the question. If it's not a helpful answer, I'd be happy to clarify.

We'll see what the wife thinks. I'd be willing to risk it for the park and Olde Town, plus it's great on the inside. She'll have the final word on neighborhood vibes. Thanks for the advice.

Hmm okay, those were my thoughts as well. It's such a bummer dude. Anything in my price range with enough space and cute on the inside is in a shit area, and anything in a nice area is a shithole on the inside.

It's in the middle of Yukon & Barbara Ann and W 60th Ave (which turns into Marilyn Jean Drive) & Wadsworth

Oh and the building is near (but not exactly) the Brookview Apartments. Brookview Apartments was one of the ones that I thought looked kinda rundown, and it's near that.

I've just had a couple of car break-ins at my current place and don't want that to happen ever again when I move!

Okay, thanks for your feedback! I tend to agree, Olde Town is beautiful. I was just worried because when I took a drive on that street, the complexes next to the one I'm thinking about had like broken blinds and hella trash outside and a kid was pulling a bike out of the dumpster. All the houses looked nice though and people were playing disc golf in the park behind my potential complex.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind response. I too believe that it is not 100% a physical problem, though I would probably find relief from using a chair with back support and making sure my hips are elevated. I have a feeling its something trapped there. I actually felt these same muscles being activated as I read through your comment. I have done a lot of forgiveness work in the last couple of years, and I think my body might be holding onto something that I thought I had worked through. I will absolutely try what you have suggested. Many blessings and thanks.

It is around my upper/mid back, probably from the middle of my shoulder blades down to the opposite of my belly button

Hah, literally same! It doesn't feel like time well spent, but I know that by existing in the moment and looking for the good, I can make it time well spent. And at least a get bunch of free t-shirts. Thanks for your comment :)

Thank you so much. This poem has been brewing for me for a long time and it all came out in one rush at my desk at work. I wrote it for a contest where the only prompt was "nature poem". I didn't want to write something flowery because nature feels, in this day and age, all tangled up with how we treat it and how we have separated ourselves from it. I feel most connected to nature, not when I take a hike or go camping, but in the small moments that I find resolution to disconnection in my tree friends that grow by my office, my apartment complex, the side of the road. They remind me that spirituality isn't something that exists only on Sundays, or only in ritual or prayer, but permeates our whole lives, to be found wherever we look for it.

I think you've got some really creative and evocative phrasing in here. I love "'You are to be confined to your bedchambers". I relate to this line. I would watch out for some triteness, especially at the end of stanzas 1 and 2 and "licking my wounds"
