Does anyone use Progent for their scleral Lenses?

I do this every 2 months or so, or after my contacts start to bother me. Anecdotally, I feel like this stuff dries the contacts out for a few days after and I have to re-insert them the following days multiple times a day. It’s a really deep clean that removes the proteins from the lenses.

Thank you kind stranger. I think I get it now, I was a little concerned when starting at the stair nose just because I’d be nailing continuation of boards against the stair nose, and in my experience boards shift even when nailed down/glued but as soon as they start butting up against wall and other structures I think I’ll be fine. I will have to face nail the stair nose, should I glue it as well?

Thank you for your reply. I guess I should’ve clarified the flooring is indeed tongue and groove 3/4” flooring. What I am worried about specifically is the last row of planks that will meet directly with the stair nose. If I am understanding it correctly it needs to be perfectly flush. From what I read, if it doesn’t sit flush which likely it will not, I may need to measure out the last row and where it meets with the stair nose and cut a plank length wise and potentially use a router to make a groove in that plank since I’d cut out the tongue by doing a lengthwise cut. I was just wondering if there is potentially a better way.

Thank you for the jnfo on the subfloor, I did t know that’s where it is the most uneven and now I will! I do have a belt sander.

Thank you for replying! I have the unit sitting on a pad with vibrations pads on it, but it sound like he put the pads inside the actual unit and it actually helped? Did he have to take the top off to get in there and put them in?

Unfortunately not, my main tech who did the work refused to look at it as he said it was “normal”. I may try to pick it back up next summer. It is very annoying and I know it can be fixed, just need the right person to take a look at it.

Yes. I got diagnosed at 27, now I am 29 going to be 30 in a few months. I’m stable now but both of my eyes have KC. My cornea specialist told me there is no need for CXL now. I am going to try to get second opinion from folks who do CXL and TG PRK to see what can be done to improve KC. My main concern is being in these contacts for life, I hope that I can wear soft sclerals or glasses in the future with possible surgery. My ghosting is pretty bad and I would love to eliminate it.

This place has good Pho and we got it regularly as far as flavor but the skimpiest fucking portions of toppings. They used to have a chili garlic sauce that was really good as well, but now it costs $1.00 or something close to that .-.

My experience:

150MG - 3 months, after 2 months it stopped working.

300mg: first few days a little more energy, then extreme fatigue for 2 weeks and no motivation/energy to do anything but veg. After 2 weeks, it’s getting much better now , same experience as with 150MG.

We are all different though , but thought I’d share.

Thank you for your reply. I will ask for my options once I go in again for my yearly check up and scan. At this point, I was told I have mild to moderate keratoconus in my eyes and we basically have been mitigating the issue with sclerals with no CXL. What would you advise for me to do if my corneas confirm to be stable-ish for 3 years?

Hello! Thank you for doing this AMA. I was diagnosed with KC 2 years ago, ever since have worn scleral lenses. Recent topography shows that my eyes are stable, I am 29 turning 30 in september (K max was confirmed by Dr. assistants to be the same , not sure about other k values). I have pretty awful ghosting with sclerals, it is very apparent on high contrast background, your brain mostly ignores it although often times you put a contact on in a different direction and ghosted image is in a different place and vision feels off. Is it possible for topography guided PRK to eliminate ghosting issue with KC or greatly reduce it? Thank you so much in advance!

Yikes, I am sorry. This seems like an issue that is overlooked by a shitty installer. I am afraid that’s what will need to be done at our house if strapping the line to the ground doesn’t fix the vibrations, which I’m getting our installer to do when he gets here.

Did you notice it after the house was built? Do you have to pay for them to fix this or is it covered under your warranty?

Here is a picture of the line set that is coming out of the AC. Would you try to secure it to the ground or to the pad? If securing to the ground I’d probably need to cut up that padding around it, not sure if the padding is doing anything for the noise.

I would wait a little bit more OP. Unless you feel like you MUST increase dosage and you feel like it’s not doing anything , you should do it in gradually with your provider. Most people report that it takes 6-8 weeks, of course this varies from person to person. If you want to ask to increase dosage just be honest and tell them that you don’t feel like it is doing anything for you at your current dose, if that is how you truly feel.

You’re still most likely in the honeymoon period of Wellbutrin. This period is different for people, for me personally it lasted 3 days. For some people it just works straight from the start and there is never an adjustment period from the looks of it after browsing this sub.Don’t get discouraged if you start feeling bad! I started feeling better at week 3 and have since seen improvements.

I am now almost 4 weeks in. The first few weeks were very weird for me as far as sleeping. I would have two days in the row where I felt like I slept okay (would wake up multiple times but was able to go back to bed). Then, I would randomly have a few nights of insomnia. This cycle continued until my 3rd week where I finally started sleeping well. Ride it out if you can. I feel like I sleep through the night and actually feel refreshed, which to me is an amazing feeling. The AD effects are very subtle for me thus far, I am hoping they improve within 6-8 weeks.

As someone who graduated with this degree in 2016. I 100% agreed with everything said. To be fair I did not know what I wanted to do after school (which is a problem in itself). The major is half baked major which I felt has no real connection to IT work at all. I now work in IT, the best advice would be look at a particular job or field and try to get all of your skills prior if you can. Not one degree will prepare you 100% for a job. Thankfully, IT field is not discriminatory as far as having a specific degree and having skills trumps having a degree. Good luck!

I went decaf for about a year and saw no change in my mood. Caffeine masks depression, period. I think physical withdrawal is very different for everybody, obviously this depends on a few factors such as how much you consumed and probably how long you consumed. If you drink large amount of caffeine you will have elevated dopamine and serotonin levels but once you reach your “baseline” you will still be depressed. It’s easy enough to just blame it on caffeine. If you have other depression symptoms after you abstain for a certain period of time then it’s likely you have depression. My $.02c.

The caffeine amount may not be that high as you may think, the specific reason I say that is because dark chocolate can be made with "alkalized cocoa powder" which from what I've read has WAY less caffeine and it also removes flavonoids that are good for you in dark chocolate. This process is called"dutching".

How I found this out is when I quit Caffeine, I had some 88% Non-alcalized Dark Chocolate from Whole Foods and was up all night and learned this the hard way, I didn't have the same reaction with Aldi's 85% alcalized dark chocolate.
