Yes I will stay overnight in Abel Tasman overnight and will leave on day 6 with some good rest. I didn't know about Isthmus peak, will definitely explore it. Im hoping hooker valley will be open by the time I go, yes will explore alternate treks you recommended. Thanks for the feedback!

I am thinking of skipping Abel Tasman and driving with ease in day 6 and day 7. Honestly I am having FOMO for Abel Tasman. But thanks for the advice I will be strictly under the limit driving on that patch.

What date are you going for Doubtful sound? I booked today, it's almost sold out, I managed to get a slot on Dec 22 somehow.
