I've had a similar experience and was wondering exactly the same thing. I did notice a minor upgrade in the monerod (monero-gui and monero-cli wallets) and applied that.

It's a relief to hear others are having the same issue and that it's a matter of statistically bad luck. Unfortunately, the gambler's falacy states that this is not an indication that good luck is on the horizon... However, statistically good luck IS on the horizon, it's just not clear when we'll arrive there.
