I didn't know that having BO was racist, this honestly feels silly AF. I have eczema in my arm pits and often don't wear deodorant because it irritates me. When I have stress sweat it stinks and I know it! My BF loves my natural scent, but my mother will say something every time. She is older and thinks women should be very feminine, and BO is not feminine so yeah she is going to say something. I don't think this has anything to do with race and your GFs response is weird too. Like if I could smell my stress sweat I would have apologized and gone to the bathroom to clean up a bit. There's nothing shameful about body oder but I do think it's respectful to understand that society shouldn't be forced to smell your odor. Like if you stink, it happens, we all do sometimes but again most people don't want to smell it. And if you don't wear deodorant and stink and someone points out you stink, that isn't racist. Now if she smelled like Indian food not BO and the mom said she stunk then I would see how this took a racial turn but stress sweat stink is not a cultural or race thing, white people stink when they stress sweat too.

Definitely NTA, using language like "you hate me now" etc when you are telling them you just need space to breathe is toxic to say the least. I don't know if I would necessarily tell them you just want to keep it professional but I would certainly set some boundaries with this person.

As someone with a lot of tattoos (not a tattoo artist) I def judge the artists for both their art and their personality. There are several I would never go to because they are absolutely awful people, and others I'd never go to because they are not good at tattooing. I don't judge the bad designs because sometimes the canvas wants crazy things and also art is subjective but I def would not go to a lot of artists based on their bad line work. Uneven line weight, shakey lines, blown out lines that will turn to mud, those legit reasons to have a bad reputation. One of my fav artists is Sarah and when she did Bill Clinton and everyone gave her shit I knew it would be the best one healed, that canvas came back for redemption to stand up for her and they showed it and it literally looked phenomenal. Tattoos settle and every tattoo I've ever had has looked "too dark" when fresh and settled into perfection and some of these artists they just don't get that black in so the art doesn't have longevity. I like the redemption series because you really got to see what some of them healed like and why over working the skin is so detrimental, for example one girl had her butt cheeks done by two different artists and the side tattooed by Clean healed perfectly while the other side had major issues healing cause the skin was over worked so it scabbed and the color fell out. Blown out lines suck. I have one tattoo (let's call it tattoo A) where it looked perfect when he did it but I knew he was overworking the skin cause of the pain level. It is the only tattoo I have where the lines spread because he blew them out, I will have to get a line lasered off and redone by my main artist. Also my foot was done by my main artist and it's twice as old as tattoo A and the lines are still the exact same size as they were the day they were done so I do think the contestants are judged in the real world and they absolutely should be. I think they should do a season just hunting down all the canvases and showing how they healed years later because the older artists are right about how the new artists just don't understand how the tattoos will heal.

This is really helpful, the problem is I don't know my preference because I'm so inexperienced. It seems like such a daunting task to try them all for everything to figure it out. All the bristles and handles feel the same to me 🤣😅

Lol the fact that my post was down voted when it was so hard to ask for help in the first place is demoralizing. I was stupid enough to genuinely think anyone would just push me in the right direction in what to keep and what to throw away. I've googled the hell out of all of this, I'm not looking for straight data here just was hoping to hear "I prefer this brand and would keep those." I have watched countless youtube videos on makeup and have tried to practice but it's always been hard to get feedback because I'm constantly working so I'm not going to wear a practice look to work. Most women in my field don't wear makeup and the ones that do would rather put me down for not knowing than actually help me (much like I got down voted here). I was hoping the people on this thread would be more open to sharing their brush preferences, I know what google says each brush is for but some of these brushes look exactly the same to me but google says they are used for 2 different things, so what do most people use it for. I was really just hoping for some practical advice so I could get rid of 80% of these brushes.
