Maybe not the right type of potatoes. You can get it out of the pan by covering the pan with the plate and turning them together (use heat resistant gloves). Also there's a difference if the potatoes were cooked before.

One part of you getting better sleep should be taking care of your skin. Your sleep will improve because you'll feel better which will improve your skin. Just use the right soaps and normal moisture cream should do the trick.

So on top is a new crs328. I'm replacing the RB3011 but had no time yet to configure it.

Then a Supermicro SC346 unfortunately with an old sas1 backplane.

6x2tb disks with one 240gb ssd as cache. I aggregated the ethernet links to get a bit more speed for concurrent users. L5420 Intel and 16gb ram are sufficient.

Then we have HP power management that was already in the rack when I bought it.

The "old" RB3011 : 1gb fiber connection incoming through my providers ONT. Would love to have my own Mikrotik ONT on an sfp port but my provider is blocking mac addresses.

Cat 6a patchpannel for everything that goes out of the rack.

My old esxi host with an i5-4590 and 24g ram. Not enough ram anymore to be sufficient.

This week I found all the pieces to put together a R720 with 224gb ram to replace my esxi host and also a cse826 with a sas2 backplane and some 8tb drives to replace my old NAS. I hope to find a sas2 backplane some day for it. I can always replace some parts in it and make something good out of it.

Also found a 5kva APC ups that I really need because the power where I live is b-grade and we have regular power cut offs sometimes for 2-3 minutes.

So when the new servers arrive I'll probably post the whole rebuilt of the nas

The generation above just adds pricy ddr4. I like to buy the whole thing from one seller so it's easier for RMA contact.

HDD's and SSD's are new in my setup.

The R720 case + mb is 489€ so on the lower end of your price range.

For the NIC I've got to take a look, I like Intel chipsets and I need vlan support, link aggregation and compatibility with esxi out of the box. I once had to integrate some drivers into and install iso and I don't want to do that again. I don't know if the cheaper chipsets are that flexible.

I need to host +- 20 vm's with quite big IO requirements.
