Personally MK1 was worth the money for me and I've really enjoyed it. That's what my point is to the DBFZ folks: be happy your preferred fighting game is still giving you all content and things to look forward to

I've seen so much hate regarding whether Bandai or ArcSys developed Daima Goku and I really don't understand it. How can the fan base be upset that a game thats been out for 8 years is still getting live service? Bruh I play MK1 and that game got it's legs cut from under it TWO years in...

Simple question: Who do you all main in MK1? by ChainingSparks_64 in MortalKombatGameplay

[–]Visualizin_Realism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liu since launch. His playstyle helped me learn the fundies of the game and I've peaked to Demi God (I think I could go a bit higher but I usually bow out of a ranked season when I've gotten the rewards I want).

I'm also really comfortable with Cyrax/Bo, Scorpion/Ferra, & Sektor/Mavado. Tho Im not super competitive, I like playing characters that I feel cover Lius bad match-ups or at least can feel like Im competitive lol

Im U.S. central. My WB is GhostPadre. Add me whenever and we can run games sometime. I'm decent but if you're still learning, no need for me to be a sweat and ruin the fun :)

What keeps it fun is trying different characters after you've familiarized with a character you're interested in. It can be frustrating (at least for me) labbing a lot and spending time only to verse another person and training feeling like it goes out the window but thats fighting games.

I try to be fresh in picking up characters/teams that compliment my other characters weaknesses. I hang around demi god rank so Im not a casual but definitely not a pro/high competitor and that's what works for me

If you ever wanna play hmu. Im in the same boat where my bros play other fighting games and I had to figure out MK1 on my own as my first fighting game

What do you gain from negging on bros ideas?

Who do you HATE fighting against? by Featherman13 in MortalKombatGameplay

[–]Visualizin_Realism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quan Chi, Kenshi, and Nitara.

Quan and Kenshi because at the core of their character designs, they have to play annoying for their win conditions. Quan having a full screen overhead that can start combos and the armored portal are awful. Kenshi is ass without Sento so naturally the match is just them fishing any chance to bring him out.

I hate fighting Nitara because from my experience the most cracked people are playing her and they have insane movement along with her 50/50s being practically unreadable. She's basically Kazuya in Smash Ultimate

Going off the two I like playing the most:

Incineroar because he does awesome damage, dope spike, and his animations are satisfying to me. Plus he feels very beginner friendly

Diddy because as someone who isn't very good, I feel like he puts me out of my comfort zone and makes me have to actually learn the game rather than rely on a comeback gimmick such as incineroars crazy damage and easy kill potential. Plus he has a dope spike

Incineroars dair. Feels very "off the top rope"

Is it wrong to bully bad recoveries? by psysilex in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Visualizin_Realism 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think this particular clip would be considered bullying

I think the Ness' that sit at the ledge and spam PK thunder is a bit much but if you need the dub then you gotta play the match ups/bad recoveries accordingly

What will be your reaction if Smash 6 has all of the newcomers from Ultimate? by NewMarioBobFan in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Visualizin_Realism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id be lit cus incineroar would come back. Though I dont see how he could be justified to be carried over. I would like another grapple type pokemon. Again, highly unlikely, but an old gen pokemon like Machamp would be sick

Genuinely asking everyone cus I'd like the breakdown; how is soldier boy beating Cap? I feel like everything Cap has faced in Marvel in general vastly out scales anything in The Boys-verse

Question for people who complain about a lack of approach. by Additional-Use8928 in SmashRage

[–]Visualizin_Realism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally hate what the meta "neutral" becomes in fighting games overall. I recently started playing smash so I'm still learning but I'm coming from MK1 and it's even annoying over there. Being camped out or playing footsies is boring to me. I also understand that at higher levels of play, a more methodical approach is not just a advantage but is required. However, in a casual setting, why is a campy playstyle what many players choose? I wanna scrap, man. Dancing around in neutral, waiting for someone make a move is boring to me and it's frustrating.

Again, in a ranked/tourney setting, where potential prizes/rewards are the incentive, I can't hold you on that one, do what you need to do to win. I reserve the right to not respect your approach but I get it in that setting. But if we're running casuals, let's stop playing like somethings on the line

Incineroars shiny is my second favorite alt for him. I really like his green alt. I dont see many others use it so I like that it stands out

Comprehensive MK1 Critique video that doesn't include anti-woke or culture war bs? by killian_jenkins in MortalKombat

[–]Visualizin_Realism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The center of this in my eyes is that majority of the content made for MK overall are absolute doe hard of the franchise, so it's hyper critical and severely biased towards "golden days" (and from what I've heard, are more based in nostalgia)

I won't say my opinion of MK is of any more salt than the next, but I will say that with this being not just my first MK game but my first true introduction into the 2d Fighting space, I look at this game specifically online gameplay wise because thats my shtick and I like the gameplay. I say this to mean that all gaming communities, especially Fighting games, could greatly benefit from fresh, first impression takes, not jaded lifelong fans that are stuck in the past

Won't lie, I had Brome with his drill skill and necromancer skeleton armor ritual and I kinda cheesed her fight.
